What in the world is this??

I received this threatening email from eBay and I have no idea what it's referring to.

Is it in regards specifically to feedback that I have left for buyers?

Or is it in relation to one-on-one conversations I've had with buyers?

You cannot get more vague than this.

If it's in regards to leaving the wrong type of feedback, there's a simple solution to this, never leaving feedback again.

Help??

The message says in part "More Specific details are provided Below"  What does it say further down on the email?

I do see some feedback infractions in feedback you have left for others.  But what I see is negative comments you leave in a buyer's feedback.  That is against the rules.

I don't know what they may have removed as I would no longer be able to see it in order to give an effort to figure out what they are talking about..

Yeah I don't know what they removed, the email showed no details.

As for leaving negative feedback for buyers who leave negative feedback for you in response, are we supposed to just sit there and let them walk all over us and we cannot defend ourselves?

That's about it.

Buyers can pretty much say what they like, but sellers can only leave positive FB.

This is eBay's "philosophy" for sellers who want to leave feedback for buyers and from which sellers should never deviate:

How did your libel lawsuit go with the buyer who left you neutrals?

You are not supposed to just "sit there and let them walk all over" you, you are supposed to utilize the proper methods of dealing with bad buyers: reporting, the block list, canceling for unpaid sales, etc.  Feedback is not the way to do it and has not been for many years per eBay's rules.

Yes, it's called being professional and leaving a professional response.  Your name calling speaks volumes about you as a seller.  Leaving false positives is a big violation and as you found out they will get removed.  Refrain from doing in the future or you may jeopardize your account.

It's all part of the business. As a seller if you are defending yourself against a neutral or negative feedback try to be polite about the situation as possible. If your feedback response or if any feedback is hostile in nature the feedback will get removed. I would say yeah don't reply to negative feedback if you can't do that.

@williazwer_0
  Go into your feedback settings.
Set it to where it AUTOMATICALLY leaves Pos feedback, for anybody that leaves you Pos feedback.
Then simply refrain from manually leaving feedback to anybody, for anything.
And, you might consider hiring a Nun with yardstick to stand behind you when you're looking at your feedback.
You know, just in case 😂

If you want to build a business for yourself, YES, remember it is a business, not a personal transaction.  You do have the option of leaving a reply to feedback.  I just caution you, for those that feel the way you do often times call the buyer names or accuses them of something or in some other way post something that is not only unprofessional but insulting.  That kind of reply does more harm to that seller than the original feedback left by the buyer as it shows yours unprofessional behavior.  It can often scare away buyers far more than if you had not commented at all.

Berating, shaming and/or insulting customers does nothing to build a business.  It will chase GOOD buyers away from that account more than it would bring them in.

Good post.  I would just stress that sellers that do this type of misbehavior, what they post says a whole lot more about the seller than the buyer that misbehaved.

I thought this sounded familiar when I read some of those feedback exchanges. The OP got into a big debate here last year when it became known that he was attempting to profit from 1 cent sales with $5+ shipping by refusing to discount for combined shipping of multiple purchases but then combining the shipment anyway. This resulted in a big dispute with a buyer who basically said to him - If you will not discount for combined shipping then ship my purchases separately. He refused.

There was also that silly threat in posted feedback about how a Neutral feedback buyer 'will be contacted by our attorney for libel.'

Given all the hostile feedback flying back and forth it seems very likely that some even worse comments were deleted - probably after a recipient complained.

Polite AND PROFESSIONAL  is the rule of thumb that ALL sellers should strive for when they feel compelled to leave a response to a feedback received.

Stating the facts can be far more effective than mud slinging.
