Every time i log in to both those sites, it says read our message from our CEO how we are here to help you. LOL is Ebay or Paypal waiving any fees ???... Are they lowering any fees in the mean time until things get back to normal ???... Well i can tell you they are done nothing for sellers !!!... I am not looking for a loan or free listings !!!... But the insider trading in stocks continue. Stock price up near 10 percent in 1 day based on nothing. How much more lies will you people take from Ebay and PP ???

The government should be 100% responsible for people who have been stupid and wasteful all of their lives, how could they be expected to see rainy days coming.

I think your opinion is shared by the vast majority of responsible sellers. The complainers and whiners are just more vocal and entitled.

Wealthy sellers don't need assistance. I'm not looking for assistance, either. Some need short term help. Struggling buyers aren't spending their money on what I'm offering. Also, I'm not in the US where the pandemic is much worse. I can bide my time. Others cannot & I'm trying to assist with their voices being heard. Glad to know some loudmouths (not directed at you) have a problem with people complaining on this board when the situation is horrible for some. Bet they are good neighbors.

No matter if i agree with you or not, complaining should always be welcome here. 😃
Take care and stay safe.

Actually I didn't; born and raised here.
There is no where else to live, is there??

Just a comment about struggling customers (buyers). If they are struggling, shopping is not something they should be doing right now unless it is for needed groceries to put food on their tables.. They should be spending more time trying to feed their families and taking care of bills, not shopping frivolously. It is a thing I learned from my parents. They taught me that if I could not afford something, then I needed to save until I had the money for it and then shop. If things do sell here, we are all probably going to see a tremendous amount of SNADS. Just for the record, The Super W store is NO LONGER taking returns on clothing and shoes. Just something to think about.

Complaining when there is a bad policy or someone has been wronged is legitimate and productive. Complaining for the sake of complaining about every issue or change is simply a bad way to spend time. Some of these whiners even think they can appoint themselves as "a voice" for others.

Here's an email I received from PayPal last week...
Dear Derrick,
The time for action is now. Action to support you—one of the many businesses doing so much for local and global economies. Starting now we’re offering:
Waived fees on chargebacks: We are waiving chargeback fees for merchants if your customer files a dispute with their credit card issuer between March 26, 2020 and April 30, 2020.
Instant funds transfer: We are waiving fees to instantly withdraw money from a PayPal business account to a bank account or Visa® Debit card through April 30, 2020.
Transfers typically take just minutes and vary by bank; debit card transfers may take up to 30 minutes. Eligible debit cards or bank accounts only. Limits and holds may apply.
Extended customer dispute resolution period: We are extending the time you have to respond to most types of customer disputes—doubling it from 10 to 20 days through April 30, 2020.
Extending seller protection to cover eligible digital goods: Starting on 13 April 2020 with no expiration. Other Seller Protection limits still apply.
Over the coming days and weeks, we’ll be doing all we can to support you.
Find out how we’re working to simplify digital payments and what we’re doing to streamline selling online or through social channels—even if you’ve never sold that way before.

I mostly sell on Amazon which is a $zillion corporation. Amazon loves it's little sellers even less than ebay does. But both sites sell books for me with, really, minimal work on my part compared to running a B+M store as if I could even do that with 2000 books total in inventory. I guess I have low expectations of what more they should be doing for me even in these times.

The stock market is a risky game right now. Wonder if the dividends went south for those hefty investors, and/or the hedge hogs. LOL.

LET ME SAY THIS:
I am grateful that I have had surprisingly excellent sales during this pandemic pandemonium. Thank you.
I am grateful that I have this platform to use so that people can avoid going out in public and spreading or getting this plague. Thank you.
I am grateful that my fees could be deferred if I chose to do it. Thank you.
I am grateful and utterly amazed at how well some sellers are doing here despite this pandemic becuase people can get what they need here. Thank you Thank you!!!

What I love is the chain emails from every company I do business with telling me "we are here for you"... "what can we do to help".?
During Super-storm Sandy I called American Express and asked them to find a hotel for me in the general area, a service they advertise. But I was told my card level wasn't high enough. Really!?! So the $500 annual fee is for what again?
Not that I expect eBay or any other company to do anything for me, but they should do what I PAY THEM FOR!!!
To eBay's credit, they have taken care of every problem I've had since the onset, but they usually do that anyway so.
