So eBay has said buyers are responsible for editing all their listings from First Class shipping and their won't be an automatic conversion and that they have 30 days to do so. What happens after we hit the 30 day mark in the next 1-2 weeks? Will my listings just end? Will they be hidden? I can't find any clarification anywhere on what the consequences would be.

@nobody*s_perfect wrote:But the point is that you should be worrying about it because sooner or later something will happen to those listings which offer First Class package shipping. You aren't going to be able to just leave First Class package there indefinitely.
@nobody*s_perfect I believe you will. As I said, UNTIL the next rate change. I am far from the only person who believes this. In fact, that's exactly what will happen unless there is some kind of intervention on their part. Of course, that intervention may occur & if/when it does, I may revise what I plan to do.
I personally believe they will figure out, a very simple fix, prior to that.
We have seen this a million times before....you must change 20K listings, you must, you must, OMG, you must by this date. Oh no, now by this date. Oh, no, we changed the date again. Oh, nvm, no need to change it at all.

Yes I know you are correct. I was being too general. First Class Package, Media Mail, and Parcel Select no longer exist. I should have included flats as First Class mail is called in the business will stay the same.

Fixed that for you.

I know you are trying to clarify things but you are adding to the misunderstanding. Media Mail has not changed (except the price), it's still called Media Mail and is not part of Ground Advantage.

@allthingssurplus wrote:eBay just came out today in their monthly chat that no worries we have til the end of the year to have all the listing changed over. Not true as per the USPS and has come out and said the by 9/30/2023 they will no longer process First Class mail of any type. Once again eBay has no clue as what the real world is doing only their perception of it. Get it done by 9/30.
That is not correct.
How a seller has it stated on their listings has nothing to do with how the shipping label prints out in the Ebay label system for First class parcel. Ebay's shipping system reads as USPS needs it to be reading, so that part is fine. It is simply the seller's listings that need to match up with calling the shipping method by its correct name, Ground Advantage.
And it is NOT all "first class mail". Regular FC is still available and called first class. It is First Class Parcels that is now Ground Advantage.

That is not correct either. Media Mail is still called Media Mail, the rates went up but the method name stayed the same.

Media still exists. There were two rate changes so one must price their pieces accordingly.

Yes, you are absolutely correct. And that is exactly what I said in my post "Media Mail is still called Media Mail, the rates went up but the method name stayed the same." We are in agreement. With the exception of the two rate changes. All weights changed rates in Media Mail.

Whew. Thank you for your post. If we follow the thread back we see where the information gets a bit tangled on the highway. Keeping things clear and concise, without conjecture is the best practice.

OK. Not sure what that has to do with me, but OK. My post was short and to the point. Not sure how it confused anyone. But I am glad it is clear for you now.

If you would have read my correction to my posts I said I did not consider flats. I was only speaking of Parcel Select and First Class Package (which is the reason we had to revise our listing manually). Not all Sellers are the same. We have many one offs, with many weights and DIMMs. Our inventory caters to distributors requiring many level of service and carrier. As per eBay when any Seller has calculated shipping in conjunction with First Class Package USPS you will manually revise the listings. Yes, you can bulk to standard and update bulk to Advantage however you will lose all of the various services and carriers you are providing in the listing and go revise again adding back what eBay deleted.

When I read a thread, I go post by post. I don't read the entire thread and then comment. Yes you did correct yourself after a couple other posters brought it to you attention as well as the fact that Media Mail is not part of Ground Advantage.
Sellers that need to update their listings are NOT limited to those that use "Calculated shipping". If a seller states their own figures for shipping or they offer Free shipping, they need to update their listings too.

Have a great day!
Thanks for that info, although sad to hear.
I was wondering how GA would be in and out of Hawaii.
So far I haven't received any complaints from customers.
Look at the service I received on the first day GA was implemented. Two days Nashville to Honolulu. Not too shabby...
I shipped a 4 lb (10x10x10) package from Florida to Alaska yesterday (8/1) using GA. I'm curious how long it will take 🙂
So .... just popping in here to answer my own post LOL
FL to AK via Ground Advantage:
3 Days 🙂 That is comparable to PM.

REPLY IN GENERAL:
If ebay just doesn't relist(roll over) anything that still has FCP in the listing that would actually be good because then sellers would know which ones still need changing from FCP to GA.

You can use the Bulk Editor to help save time, but in your case, I would suggest doing a few a day so you can revisit what you are charging for shipping. Your charges are all over the place. Some are accurate, others are too low and some are too high. It would likely help your sales to get those fixed.
I am not suggesting exact shipping charges. Certainly nothing I do as we do have FVFs on shipping and there are shipping supplies.
Just a suggestion. Of course do what you think is right.
