If you owe eBay for fee's you pay them or you don't sell here anymore.

If it is at the $400 figure you will have the debt collectors ebay hire to get the money you owe, just like any other company.

Ebay is supposed to take it from the bank account you have linked to your managed payments account.

If it is just around $400 then the debt will be sold to a collection agency, you will get constant phone calls, and your credit score will be impacted.  If it is closer to the $4,000 for those sneakers shown as sold on your account then some lawyer at the collection agency, or maybe even at Ebay, might show some interest and you might end up in court.  But I don't know how the courts in India handle such debts.

There is an island in the middle of the Great Salt Lake called One Way Island, because there's only one way in and no way out.   Thats where eBay sends people who don't pay their bills.

I'm not so sure about lawyers and debt collectors in India, whether ebay has a presence there might be key to this question... But I can tell you they will suspend your account and it may be very difficult to get it reinstated later (even for those who think they will just pay the amount due).

If the buyer of that almost 5K shoe did not pay, you need to open an unpaid item case.

If he did pay, it seems like you would have $400 to pay your final value fees.
