I'm "restarting" my ebay since I'm not working anymore [due to crash, i could explain more if yall want to know] but started to get back into ebay but...
My goals are
2022 and my goal is trying to get to 25k gross sales in a month with a avg profit of 20%
Pretty basic I feel but so far this month I have $4,700 in gross sales with profit of 72.65%. I don't think that percentage rate will stay the same as it is right now, but working on some other buys right now that hopefully I can keep good profit margins.

It looks like everything IS bigger in Texas. The only 'hiccup' you might encounter is the (temporary) New Seller hold if it's been awhile since sold here. But with your plan to move forward, it certainly sounds doable. Good luck!

Thank you! I'm a small time ebayer, what are some tips that you could give?

No... I'm a small time eBayer. But my standard is, "Hope for the best; expect the worst." More useable tips will follow...

$25k/month is definitely not a "small" seller on this site.
I am never interested in how much we "gross" each month, but I am certainly interested in how much we "keep".
It is often said that you "make your money when you BUY the item for resale".......and I have found that to be true. There are MANY things we could sell each and every day. But selling them for a decent "profit" is a whole different ball game.
Sincerely wish you success as you works towards your $25k goal per month. All the best.

All I can say is good luck. I can barely get a 10th of that and I work hard at it. But hey, maybe you can source, research, clean, photo, Tag and bag, list, ship, answer questions and do maintenance, etc. Faster than me.

Personally, I think that when people set money goals on ebay, before they set work goals, they're doomed. Everyone I've ever spoken with who scoffed at me for listing things I may make only a few dollars off of, because their time is so precious etc. Is off of ebay.
Ebay these days is a List it and forget it place. It'll sell, maybe this week, maybe in 3 years. Most people can't focus on work, they can only focus on the reward, and on ebay, that wont work unless you are selling only new stuff, or have awesome sources. And both of those are EXTREMELY rare.
Set goals for work, try to get 500 things in the store, try to list 20 things a day, then you'll see how difficult both of those are.
Remember, you'll sell, but you need to have a good mix of new listings (some percentage of which will sell in a week, some in a month and the rest will become long tail) and old listings to get an average amount of sales that can sustain you.
Be VERY careful, and put a lot of time into how you store things. Those people who remove things after a month of it not selling or so, are just not gonna get very far, nor last very long IMO.

You are right, eBay is a long term goal. Expecting anything to sell quickly is just not reasonable.
Add in stupid offers and it's going to some time, I'm listing for time now. And taking naps. I like naps.

I want to get my ebay stock under control....and I have a lot...a LOT. But I find I spend too much time on the forums helping fellow ebay buyers and sellers. 😀
So good luck to me.

You make a very good point on scorcing and something that I have been working on but with my past exp running a IT recycling company I think I am ahead alittle bit. Already got some nice product and since I posted, I have gross sales of around the 6,4k but I what shocks me is this, what moves quickly and what sits around for a while. I sold one laptop for little over 700 but a brand new [and better laptop] is still sitting there with 0 buyers as of right now. I know it will sell but not sure if I will get what I need out of it.
Firesteel looks like you sell some of the same things I'm looking at lol.

I hear you...I post stuff and I think....no way this stuff will sell and *POOF*...it's gone and then stuff I think will sell fast will sit there for months. I've been selling vintage XP computer systems (mostly Dell) and they sell at a steady pace. I still have about 100 more here to go through and then about 150 laptops. Been trying to get through the towers first because they take up so much room.
What part of TX are you in? Hit up govdeals.com for some computer stock. I've gotten some really good buys there in the past but lately it seems like prices have gone sky high for some reason. There used to be a lot of stuff around the Houston area on govdeals.
I like your stock too. 🙂

I'm in the Dallas fort worth area. Are you in Texas as well? I use to do alot with govdeals back in 2010 to around the time I "life" happened in 2014 ish but was looking alittle and yea I saw some of the prices where full blown retail. I have been working my marketing skills and that so far has been doing me very well. Today I should be picking up some new Dell 7420 [a few of them].
Now I do have a question if you don't mind me asking. Selling the old dell desktop/laptop stuff is it really worth the time? Back when I had my own company I did alittle of that but didn't think it was worth that much. Now, older servers was a totally different ball park.
I wonder if their are any good forums for basic talk like this with other ebay sellers? This seems to be more about "I have an issue" type deal vs being able to just talk? I may look into starting a fb page for that?
