So just recently a buyer opened up an 'item not received' case for an item I shipped out on March 11, I told them I shipped it out but to look at the tracking details and I will look into it as well and when I did it says "In Transit to Next Facility, Arriving Late" for 2 days straight. The buyer is getting impatient but there's not much I can do since the item is not in my possession and I shipped it out on time. Now the funds are on hold, what can I do, I shipped it out on time and for whatever reason it's moving slowly in transit and I got an email from eBay saying I have until March 25 to resolve this case.

The only thing that you can do is respond to the case with your tracking number. Ebay takes it from there.
There are some major backlog in a few areas around the U.S. I know from my own experience shipping that Georgia, Illinois and parts of Texas are a bit disastrous. We are at their mercy.
Good luck to you.

I have had a few of those "in transit to next facility, arriving late" still open since March 2023.
My buyers were honest and left positive feedback when items arrived.
I don't know what shipping service you use as to a refund from the shipping service.
It is a problem currently with scanning...where item is not scanned as "delivered".

As others have stated, there are a number of hubs that seem to get jammed up... I had an item coming from a seller last week, midway through it's travels, I got the 'in transit to next facility' message 3 days in a row.
Tracking showed no change until the mail carrier delivered it.

Palmetto Ga. is a hang up either sending or receiving packages.
New distribution Center On the National news two days ago.

I have one that sat in the eIS hub for a month. Just transferred to DHL two days ago. First time I've ever seen that happen.

4 of mine so far this year has been stuck. Go to the USPS site, fill out a missing mail inquiry, if its been 7 days fill out a missing mail search instead. So far 3 were found within a day, the 4th I just open yesterday and hopefully it should pop up soon.
