What an item is selling for

I was told there is a place on eBay that you can see what an item is selling (trending) for.  I have looked every where, and cannot find it.  Can someone help me?

It is possible to search for an item, and then choose show only "sold" items to see what items have sold for in the last ninety days.

Otherwise, you might be interested in this link for some general trends:

Keep in mind that completed/sold isn't as useful as it once was. In this age of GTC listings a lot of stuff will never show up in the Sold section

Good point -- to see those sold items you would need to search the current listings and find those multiple quantity items, and then go to the "xx sold" link (roughly equivalent to the "xx bids" link in an auction). That will show the last hundred sales that occurred in the last ninety days.
