What am I doing wrong?

I was hoping some good sellers in here could have a look at some of my auctions to see what I'm doing wrong.  I get people looking at my stuff but they don't convert to sales.  I researched the products to make sure they are selling but I get nothing.

Thank you in advance.

As a 22 year seller in here, I think you need to realize that these are NOT normal times. People are scared about the future and don't want to spend money needlessly.

Stop beating yourself up and have some patience. It's doubtful you are doing anything 'wrong'.

The snack canister is supposed to say snacks? Anyway, it's 36.99 at magenta. 34.95 is not a bargain.

Your listings LOOK great, but they are all slow moving type items in a SMALL store, you are going to need a much larger store than that if you expect any regular sales.

I have had about 45 sales so far today, but I also have 16500 listings, which translates to a sell through rate of roughly 1 year. If my store was the size of yours with the same sell through rate it would mean only one sale every 15 days.

You are really not doing anything wrong. There are over 6,000 fiesta plates and 4,000 rae dunn bowls others are also selling. That gives you approximately 1:1,000 chance of selling yours. It can take time.

Looking over your listings, the question that came to mind is why did you choose the auction format? Looking at your competition, 161 are selling their Bark dog bowls at fixed price, and 4 at auction. Why would a buyer choose to wait for an auction to conclude when they can get it right away at fixed price?

Your items are fine, but those Fiesta plates - I got a set of four of the bowl style (larger than yours) new for about $60 on sale.  You have two plates for about $50 shipped.

You might want to examine prices - and keep listing more items.  People are always buying kitchenware but a bigger selection really helps.

Also, Rae Dunn is saturated, so you have a lot of competition there, but it still sells.

ETA: Just keep going, though.  Keep building up your listings to try to get a bigger footprint.  Kitchenware is a good market, even if some brands are saturated.

I would add the term "anthropomorphic"  to the "smiling" S&P........just ditch the smiling and "made in" and you should have room in the title.

You are using the term "auction" incorrectly.........An auction listing is when people bid on items........ Fixed price listing is when buyer can buy at any time......... that term in your listings may be confusing buyers since they can't see a way to bid as the listings are fixed price.   Use the term "listing" instead of auction.

The "item condition box" is not to be used for "new/used"......that's already determined......In that box, describe the flaw and if there are none, use a positive ..."no chips or cracks".......  If there is a flaw.....I always use a positive first..."No chips or cracks,  some color fade".  That box is shown directly below the title, so almost the 2nd thing someone reads after opening the listing......It can help establish your credibility and thoroughness in description.

just some thoughts

Well for one, inflation is at an all time high & the cost of basic home needs are skyrocketing. With that being said you aren't selling a need, you're selling a want. The items your selling are not "in demand" items and most likely have a very slow sell thru rate. You can also get stuff like that for cheap at Walmart without having to pay for shipping. Look for more in demand items such as shoes or clothing, things that people may need. I sell clothing & my sales have remained very consistent. They have slowed down slightly but not by much. I have a second store where I sell electronics & vintage electronics & it has been slower but that's because I don't list as consistently as I should on that one. Make sure you do your research on sell thru rate, average selling price/shipping price etc... Have good titles, keywords, title structure, photos, return policy(free returns is the best route as you have no say in the end). Optimizing all of those things while utilizing all of the tools that eBay gives you will help with getting sales but at the end of the day if you list items that nobody wants then you're not going to get any sales. Their is a lot of doom & gloom talk on the boards, don't let that get you down. Despite what people say, you can make a good living reselling on eBay.  Good luck.

When I bought my new Fiestaware last year at Macy and Bed, Bath & Beyond, I paid less than yours would cost me.

Use the primary key word in your titles first;  Put anything else after such;  this of course means terms like vintage, and or amounts etc.

You use fixed price: do not let em relist auto: It will not show on the new listing in a category until way down the list:

This is due to it keep the original date listed and of course if found a bit lower in the new item search systems.

Run a few things at auction as well as fixed: seems to help get folks to see what else you may have...

This is just advice and may or may not be correct.

Thank you all for all your insight. We are very new to coming back to selling and eBay is very different from when we were doing it 20 years ago. We appreciate you taking the time to help us learn to sell again.  eBay won't let is into our seller dashboard because we have not sold anything yet.  What's in there and is the seller hub that same thing as the dashboard.

@back2ourfuture

The Dashboard is a part of the Seller Hub, but the Seller Hub contains loads more information.

You're saying that you can't view your Dashboard... either through 'Home/My eBay/My Account/Seller dashboard' -or- 'Account/Selling/Seller dashboard'???

If not, try to tick this link: Seller Dashboard | eBay

Edit to add: You should land on the Seller Hub through 'My eBay/Selling', too. Good luck!
