I was hoping some good sellers in here could have a look at some of my auctions to see what I'm doing wrong. I get people looking at my stuff but they don't convert to sales. I researched the products to make sure they are selling but I get nothing.
Shipping shouldn't cost more than the item in my own opinion. Can you try listing one item at .01 with free shipping? A lot of buyers look for free shipping (domestic). I wouldn't do it for International Mail. You are trying to get buyers looking at your stuff. The shipping scares buyers away in my opinion. If you can afford to list a .01 auction I would do it just to see how many "views" and "watchers" you get on it. Will tell you if the market is strong. I have an auction for a new barbie with 86 views and 22 watchers this week. I auction stamps by the way... not barbies. Need to look at what is selling in these times.
I like to sell to intelligent shoppers. Intelligent shoppers know there is no free shipping, only higher purchase prices that include shipping and therefore, higher sales tax.
I am not a expert by all means. I looked at your listings and if I was a buyer I would want at least 4 plates or bowls etc. I would try offering a discount for buyers wanting multiple of that item . I also think if you can save the buyer money on shipping when they purchase more than 1. Sometimes the cost of shipping 2 can be the same as 1. People like to save money and they like a discount.
