What Happened to Customer Support?

We were baffled today with our experience in trying to talk with someone from Customer Support / Help & Contact.

 

The level of competence has cratered...  The access to help has changed and as a result, customer service is significantly diminished.

 

We were trying to address a customer concern that was not included in any of the pre-determined categories now limiting (defining?) access to help.  As such, we clicked on the box for handling returns and though it wasn't exactly that help we needed... it was the closest thing to it.

 

Once we finally had someone on the phone, it was immediately apparent that the calls are now being handled internationally... and that the service provided is nowhere near that which was provided previously.

 

In recent years, as a premium seller, we've generally had excellent customer service.  Clearly... something major has shifted in allowing sellers access to the level of service which we once received.
