What Android Camera App let you specify the subdirectory to place the pics?

I have about 6000 pics on my phone and at least 1/3rd are pics of stuff for sale.
Sometimes I take dozens of pics and don't have the time to move each pic individually.

I'd like to set up a dir for eBay pics, which I can "set path" when I plan to take a bunch of pics.

NOTE:  I have a Samsung A53 5G and would also like the app to allow low resolution pics to be taken (the native camera app allows changes in aspect ratio but is fixed at 16M resulting in 4Gb pics which are a waste of space.

You can get an external MicroSD card. Dump all your photos on it and insert to access.

You can use the native Gallery app to resize photos one by one, which is a pain, or install a photo resizer app on your phone that can bulk resize them. I use Compress Premium - that version doesn't cost much and has good features.

There's on way I've ever found to adjust lower resolution on my Samsung - it defaults to high resolution.

Re: What Android Camera App let you specify the subdirectory to place the pics?

I don't know if this helps anyone. I charge my phone by plugging it into my desktop PC. While I'm at it I take any pictures on it and move or back them up to my PC.  It's way easier for me to organize them and find the ones I want on my PC.

I also change out my music, all done 'drag n drop'. Easy. There's better photo editing software on my PC as well.

I'm not interested in resizing pics - it's an extra step.  I have a camera app that lets me choose the pic size but I'm not satisfied with the lack of other features.

Re: What Android Camera App let you specify the subdirectory to place the pics?

I'm got something better, I use Mobile Sync Station which automatically sends pics when taken to my PC without any user action.

But I still have the problem of 6000 pics in one directory either on PC or phone.  Now on the PC, I do move them to a selling directory structure, but the problem is on the phone:  if I want to find a pic on my phone, everything is in one directory - all 6000 pics.  So it's essentially impossible to find something that's a year or two in the past.

I have Open Camera v1.53.1 which has a lot of features but doesn't quite do what I want it to regarding changing destination directories.  (It has the feature but it is buried in sub-menus.  I think...)

I must have misunderstood this, then: NOTE: I have a Samsung A53 5G and would also like the app to allow low resolution pics to be taken (the native camera app allows changes in aspect ratio but is fixed at 16M resulting in 4Gb pics which are a waste of space.

Sorry I tried to help.

Re: What Android Camera App let you specify the subdirectory to place the pics?

I think I have a workaround since I'm primarily concerned about keeping Selling Pics apart from all others:  I have the Open Camera app:  I can set this up to store pics in a user defined sub-directory - directories can be changed but have to get into the Settings - and even when done, there is no indication when using the camera, showing where the pics are going - so if you forget, they end up in the wrong directory.

I'll just use Open Camera when doing eBay, etc. and the Samsung camera when doing everything else.

That is a great way to keep your stuff organized. If you stay on top of it daily, it should not be an issue. I create the listings on my pc as a draft so all i have to do is upload my pictures (which i shoot, crop and remove/add background) directly from my phone using the eBay app.

The biggest issue i find with taking pictures in general is the lighting. (or lack of)

Re: What Android Camera App let you specify the subdirectory to place the pics?

It sure works for me. My phone usually has around 10 to 12 pictures on it at any given time. I don't sell so I might do it differently if I did.

I have many different music folders on my PC all set up to put into the music folder on my phone depending on what mood I'm in. I just plug it into the aux. jack in my truck stereo and use it as an mp3 player. I also plug it into the usb port and charge it at the same time so I don't run the battery down too much.
