Looking back, 2023 has been a rough year. Selling here once was fun, but now The Thrill Is Gone. The jingle of coins in my pocket has been replaced with The Sound Of Silence. How about those slow weekends? Lately there's no Sugar On Sunday. And don't get me started on weekdays, now Tuesday's Gone With The Wind. I'm tellin' you it's been tough, I'm just Ridin' The Storm Out. Eventually I'll just Drift Away.

Instead of buying yet more stuff (does anyone really need yet more stuff?) we're going overseas on a hiking, pubbing and theatre vacation. Stuff wears out, breaks or gets in the way. Good memories last.

Not a Very Merry Christmas.   Today the Stock Market was celebrated as a record high.  I see comments online that the economy is doing so well, but sales are in the dump.   Yes, the silence is here now and its real.  Hopefully, the year ends well with some more sales.

I admire my sister so much this year as she went on a 2 week guided hiking trip to the Swiss, Italian and French Alps for her vacation and she’s 73!

Gorgeous photo! That sounds like a wonderful trip, too.

The DH and I backpacked across England along Hadrian's Wall. We didn't camp, though - after hauling a 40 lb pack for 15 miles over hill and dale, I want the hot shower, a couple of pints at the pub and a comfy bed lol.
