Webinterpret gained unauthorized access to account; eBay has no power to end

About a year ago or so, eBay introduced its new partner Webinterpret with a trial offer to list on international versions.

I did a trial, and, since it was very useless with no sales created by this service, I disconnected/opted out. After that, I got many emails from Webinterpret asking me to connect again - I did not. For about six months, I haven`t heard from them until about a month ago, when they started to use my listings without authorization whatsoever. I ended those listings, yet they keep relisting them! It is very annoying because it gives me extra work to do to clean up that mess with useless listings.

I called eBay, and a representative sent me a link on how to contact them (you can`t even disconnect this scam even being logged in Webinterpet)!

Has this scam (using your ebay account without authorization) happen to you, too?

not to me no, but i know it has to others.  ebay should be able to revoke the 'token' rights for your account ... if they want to go to the trouble.  most of the c/s reps either have no idea of what you are talking about, or just want you off the phone so they say just about anything.  (they want to keep their call times down as they get paid on call/hour basis.  and you can't even talk to 'technical'.  they'll say the are submitting a ticket just to get you off the phone.  if you call back, ask the c/s rep to read you the notes for the last call, 90% of time there are no notes or ticket sent.

ebay seems to be Very Customer Service (Buyer's side) Oriented

account>site preferences, scroll down to third party authorizations and revoke the authorization by unchecking the box. See if that helps.

The easier you are to offend the easier you are to control.
