I was having the opposite problem the past couple days; logging into the web browser just fine, but was signed out of the app somehow, and it kept rejecting my password, so I changed it for both devices and I guess it's okay now.
Weird thing is, I saw something like a history of login attempts (or something, I was getting frustrated and closing unneeded screens quickly so I could be done with this crud) and some of the lines in the list said ebay.uk.co. I wish I had stopped and paid attention because I don't have a UK account! Maybe it was showing history of me clicking on listings by UK sellers or something, I dunno.
Anyway, I sure don't like weird stuff like this!

Thank you. I wasn’t looking at listings and when I do I filter for US only. But interesting.
I had tried the app but the seller hub features and layout are not available so it’s dramatically less informative than the browser.
Have tried Apple ID login which has helped some.
I think it’s a server issue and it’s performing some security check on my phone because it always sees it as a new device.
Tried new password. Didn’t work.

Have you cleared your browser's eBay cache/cookies?
Have you tried a different browser?

Try Edge, Mozilla, Chrome, etc
