I urge all you sellers that have been complaining of poor sales and increasing fees to hold your course. Stay on Ebay and continue to drop your prices. Keep paying those ever increasing fees for everything. Ebay does care about you. You are the people that have helped to make this company successful. Buy now, I hope you can see I am being sarcastic. Recently, my sales have bottomed out also.
I have tried everything, lowering prices, adding new items, combining items, changing listing duration, ending listings and re-listing them new, with no success. I have recently transferred a lot of my "dead" Ebay items to other sites, with great(and I mean great) success. I currently sell in 1 day(on just one other platform) than what I have been averaging in 1 month on Ebay recently.
I thought my business mattered to Ebay. I have been selling here for over 10 years, 3500 100% positive feedbacks, do everything right. Does it really matter?
Think about this:
The top seller on Ebay averages 5,000 feedbacks a day! They have nearly 2,000,000 feedbacks. And there are dozens of other big sellers that have similar sales figures. I can see that I am a really small fish in this pond all of a sudden. All of my hard work and dedication to be a great seller seems to be overshadowed by volume sellers.
So, I urge all you small sellers to stand toe to toe with these big guys and give them a good fight to the end(which is coming sooner than you think). Frankly, I don't need the competition on those other sites. Good Luck To All!

Yes I agree with you. I too have done everything ebay has asked. Every time I turn around ebay is imposing new rules on sellers. Ebay is a very sneaky company. They put these changes out there and never tell us the sellers. We have to find out by word of mouth. There are one or two sellers in these forums who are big rah rah ebay fans. We know who they are. Perhaps these people could post something useful instead of answering every post.

It didn't take much research. Not allowed to mention names here. I can say, there are quite a few out there, bigger ones advertise on TV. They don't deal as much in feedback, are straight up in fees, and a lot more "phone friendly". First day on one site had over 1,000 followers. Customers are out there, just not here. SAD

Your story seems to be common with people selling collectibles, knick-knacks, and antiques on eBay ... once the bread-n-butter of eBay, these have fallen on hard times here no matter what you try.
Glad you've found the buyers!

THERE IS NO STORM. JUST A TINY FORMAT CHANGE THAT YOU DO NOT EVEN HAVE TO USE.

ok, then I will urge ebay to cancel every account that says something like that or talks about trying to sue eBay.
NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO BE HERE.

Getting back to more "phone friendly" sites. Ones that were developed as an app allowing potential buyers to share with friends and those friends sharing with their friends. Rather than paying a "promotion fee" you select to share your listing with the collective as often as you want(for free), re-introducing it to the top of the page. Genius!

This wasn't necessary. If you don't like people expressing their frustration than don't read their remarks.
NO ONE IS FORCING YOU TO READ THEM.

Ha Ha You're right. The big red bold print makes them look like a jerk more than anything!

The bold print really scares...if Ebay went away tomorrow...I could care less..or couldnt care less..

They might get rid of you...

So I took a look. I think my mom or aunt might be interested in your stuff but none of it was the type of thing I would buy for me (I'm 32 and male). Me and my family before me buy on Ebay first before hitting the stores, before hitting Amazon or anywhere else online - like 95% of our stuff comes from Ebay. Your stuff may not have as big a market as it used to. My generation isn't collecting as much. Even those who do collecting may not pay as much for it as they used to either with so much competition. Everybody is selling off their unwanteds and most folks are downsizing in general (hello? Marie Kondo?).
I sell stuff - I throw it out there and let it ride. I'm not depending on it for the rent so I can wait. I do take the slow movers to the community flea market once or twice a year and I often lot items up.
Double check your prices compared with others selling the same thing, check actual items sold, and consider adding in some additional categories to reach wider markets. An unsold item is worth nothing.
