This 3rd quarter it seems the new game in selling is to like the item and see if you'll receive an offer.
When a seller has marked and item down or it is as low as they would like to go, can there not just be an 'X" by the item when it kicks back the "Send offers to buyers". That way you have the option of just x-ing it off your feed.
Just an idea;
Thanks

You are talking about sending one offer to many eligible buyers for one listing. I'm talking about multiple listings.
Ebay used to tell you there was a listing with an eligible offer if someone WATCHED your item. So I'd have maybe 3 or 4 items eligible to send offers on a day, where someone was actually interested in the item. So I'd send 3 or 4 offers per day.
Now ebay will say that a listing is eligible if someone just LOOKS at your listing. They didn't watch it, they aren't actually wanting to buy it. They literally just clicked on it, then moved on.
With that recent update made, instead of 3 or 4 listings with people who are WATCHING and might actually want to buy, there are now dozens of eligible listings per day that no one has watched, and I don't want to waste my time sending offers to people who aren't interested in buying. (As mentioned earlier, I have only 3 out of 84 where there is an interested buyer.)
Also, I've read many threads on here where people are getting inundated with offers because of this new system, and I don't want to spam people who simply clicked on the listing but don't want to buy it.

Liking an item to see if you'll receive an offer has been a "new game" on here since Bill Clinton was the President.

Frecklesfinery88, I am with you on this.
I agree that many people expect an offer once they watch something, and that is in fact how I make most of my sales. I just price my items so that I'm willing to sell them for a couple of dollars less.
But now the system will say something is eligible for an offer just because someone looked at the listing, not because they actually want to buy it. So I have currently 89 listings eligible to send offers on, however, only 3 of them have watchers, so I have to scroll through alllll of them just to get to the ones who actually might buy.
I'd love to be able to delete the ones that I don't want to send an offer to.

eBay's offer-eligible list has included Views relatively recently. It used to be only Watchers, and was a pretty good list for getting sales. Now it just irritates everybody. Like you, I only send offers for items that have actual Watchers. They need to scratch this change and go back to the original offer-eligible criteria.

None of us here have the capability to do that.

I'm not understanding, if you are willing to send offers why does it matter to you who gets them?

Because I don't want to spend half an hour everyday sending offers to people who aren't interested in buying. I'm old, my time is very valuable to me 🙂

Sorry but I'm not understanding the issue, perhaps it's because I don't send offers.
I just went to my active listings, I selected an item that eBay tells me is eligible to send Seller offers, it doesn't seem to matter if there is 1 eligible buyer or 1000 eligible buyers the process seems to be exactly the same, input the offer amount, and then click on send.

Amen! That and the ones who are just shopping for the absolute lowest price you are willing to take. Some are So Bold that they email that to the seller. It needs to go back to the old way, if someone watches the item I have No problem sending an offer. But, not simply because they clicked on it. Some state 0 watches and still want the seller to send an offer.
Thank you mamacassidy for clarifying what we all are saying.

So, an update on this. We had some changes in our office & store. It has taken a couple weeks to get up and going. As a way to up our sales again we marked items down 20 to 25% for a week. Right now I have 13 in the past 24 hours even after the mark down/sale that want a lower offer or better offer. Some with watches and others with zero.
Ebay needs to change this whole set up. We are just a small seller. We are just trying to make eBay a better sales place for us all.
Thank you
