Early detection to stop buyers who might misuse returns offers to prevent them from starting a return.
That a defect has to be removed ... proves that early detection failed.
This is evangelism, through and through.

I see it as a mom picking up her 3 year olds toys and wrapping them up and putting them under the tree so her kid will get all excited because of all the presents they are getting to unwrap, totally unaware that mom didn't spend any money on them.
Just aout every new promise ebay is making to sellers in the update is a policy already on the books but ebay has been ignoring. What, ebay is going to start enforcing them now or do they really think we are going to fall for it?

I'm finding lately that the buyers I have had abuse the return process are sellers themselves!
So much for sticking together....

'Sellers' who buy, try to resell, can't, then return are nothing new. They go back to the early days of this site.

That's why I always laugh when sellers want to leave negative feedback to "warn" other sellers when it was another seller who caused the problem to begin with. Are they hoping to warn sellers about themselves?
Ebay is not a team sport.

I doubt we will ever "believe it"......simply because the times it doesn't work, people will come here and post.....ebay doesn't (never has) provided any proof of what they do to enforce anything.....all we get is anecdotal evidence that they don't...... altho sometimes someone will come to complain they've been suspended/canned.......we never can positively know why.

The 'buyers' who are scamming big time to resell on ebay on other accounts, now appear to have ebay's blessing in the form of buyercentric policies over the years. Why would ebay put a stop to scamming by resellers when it means that they get to make 2 x the fees on a single item.
