A customer bought a coffee mug from me.
$32 + $11 S&H.
Paid 7-6-21.
Shipped 7-7-21 via Priority Mail.
Estimated delivery 7-12-021.
The customer messaged me today to let me know the package has not arrived.
He was not upset.
He did not file a INR.
He did not threaten to leave me negative feedback.
He did not blame me.
He did not demand a refund.
He filed his own lost package request with the USPS. It now shows in the tracking.
Nothing for me to do but apologize to him and thank him for his understanding.
There are some GOOD customers out there. 😃

Yep, I had the same thing happen with a box of lures (worth quite a bit) a couple months ago. Same thing, even filed his own trace on it, finally arrived after 3 weeks.
No drama.

I agree..
Normally you don't hear from somebody unless they want to complain.
I've many times messaged a seller to thank them and sadly, I always feel compelled to start the message with "don't worry it's good news" <<-- 100% truth.
I shared my vase story with the seller, in a message and they enjoyed it & said it made their week.
But I do this with other places outside eBay.. I've called fast food restaurants to thank them for completing a HUGE order with no mistakes. They were so shocked they gave the phone to the manager who said they would share that with the whole team.
I've received nice & thoughtful comments from buyers after they received their order, both in FB and via the message system.
A little bit of kindness goes a long way.. If you make somebody smile or put them in a good mood they often pay it forward so the happiness is infectious..
Nice positive thread @inhawaii Thank you!!

This is part of the reason why feedback has degraded into uselessness. The only ones that leave feedback nowadays are the negs so it doesn't paint a true seller picture in most many cases.
