We need a inventory number or code that prints on the pick list.

I'm thinking a 4 or 5 digit code that we can assign each of our listings and is visible only to us that would print on the pick list.  I have added similar codes to some listings in the description but the limited allowed characters in the description makes it hard and confuses shoppers.

I have around 1300 listings and try hard to be organized and normally I can find items quick but there's always that one that takes 20 or 30 minutes to find. Normally on older listings that have lingered for awhile.  A code system would make life so much easier.

the custom field works great but does not print out, we either make a note of the location on the invoice or just use a phone on the app when picking orders  on sold items you can see the custom field

Hi @relicpeddler . Use the Custom label SKU field. It does show up on pick lists. (It does not show up on packing slips).

On the app Custom SKU is under item specifics.

On the business listing tool Custom SKU is under the title. If you don't see it, click "see title options" to the top left right of the title to unhide the field.

On the simplified listing tool it does not exist. Click "switch to business tool" button on the top right of page.

consider this - currently  there are 2.1 billion active  listings on eBay   - will 4 or 5 digits suffice??

don't think your  wish  can happen without a  **bleep** daily or more oftenn

I'm talking about something for individual use.  4 or 5 digits would be fine for most sellers

For an individual seller 5 digits will give you 99,999 sku's

If you use an alpha code for the first digit you can have 259,974 unique sku's

If you use an alpha code for the first 2 digits......675,324 unique sku's

That's likely plenty for 99.99% of sellers!

I put a 3 to 5 digit code at the end of each title, based on the type of item it is.  I use that to organize items. Almost everything goes into its own bag after listing, so I include a slip with that code on it in each one.  Some people write directly on the bags to make it easier.  This has made order pulling so much faster for me.
