Hi all, I just noticed a change today. Until yesterday, people were able to see the number of watchers on my listings.
I attached a picture for example of what I see today. Look at the yellow box, the number of watchers used to show there in that space. There used to be 27 watchers for this suit but, now the number is gone. This morning when I looked at all my listings, the watchers were all gone on all listings.
This happened in the past. My watchers suddenly disappeared & then a few weeks later they came back. I thought it was because Ebay was beta testing info & conducting tests with sellers. Well, now my watchers are gone again & I really need them to show up on my listings again.
This is frustrating, because I need the watchers to show. Buyers who purchase luxury items tend to want the "most wanted" items. There is more of a sense of urgency to pull the trigger & send an offer if many people are watching the item. I know this from experience talking to repeat buyers in Ebay messages over the last 18 years.
I spent time looking at my fellow luxury sellers on Ebay today, who sell a lot of Chanel items like me. You can see the watchers on all their listings. Why did Ebay hide the number of watchers on my listings but, other Chanel sellers have theirs listed?
I hope Ebay reads these messages. I really need someone to look at my account & have the IT tech support show the number of watchers again.
If any one of you gurus on this site has any info, please let me know. Thank you : )

The number of watchers posted on the listing has been removed for well over a year ago. Didn't like it being removed but it was something that happened.

@johnrj1226 I have 6 friends who also sell items on Ebay. They sell luxury items like me, mostly accessories though & the watchers are showing on their listings.
I also spent time today looking at the other Chanel clothing sellers & the watchers are showing on their listings.
Ebay is probably testing info & statistical data. They are hiding the watchers for some sellers & showing them for others.
I could post a bunch of screenshot pictures on this thread to give examples.
In fact, there are about 10 well known Chanel clothing sellers on Ebay & the watchers are showing in their listings, just not on mine, as of today. I am the only one with watchers being hidden.
I went through tons of listings today.

Do you have the number of watchers showing up on your Active Listings summary? That is where I find mine.

I don't care about watchers, they are just that "watchers" taking in the view of an item they likely want to sell themselves, they are very often not buyers. I have tried sending offers to watchers and lowered the price so they should be enticed enough to buy, nothing happened crickets.

I agree -having the buyers know that information increases sales , It can also tell you how long the item might be laying around collecting dust..But we don't need that information anymore as GTC is the law of the land. Now we are Throttled like a light switch..Yesterday I had 4 sales in less than 15 minutes, phone going crazy..The common sense that Ebay possesses is mind blowing..Why don't they ever ask real sellers whats really going on? Or are the real sellers China and all the Counterfeit items. Ebay should be ashamed of all the Fake stuff on the platform. ** I think they took away the 'watcher number box' a few years ago - Good Luck All ,,,I'm getting rid of my things and getting out,,bitter sweet-been over 18 years,, The playing field is no longer fair, and I hate the word 'Fair' ,.,.

@johnrj1226 Hi, I do have the number of watchers showing up on my Active Listings Summary. I can see how many watchers are watching.
However, the number of watchers is not showing up on the actual listings anymore. It is showing up on all of my friends listings on Ebay who sell similar items.
I think that the bots are hiding the watchers count on my listings to test info & data. I know that Ebay runs all kinds of tests from time to time. I am just the guinea pig for now.
In the past, the number of watchers would show up on a listing when there were 6 watchers or more.
