I sent 35% off offers to watchers. No one bought a thing & 1 watcher removed themselves. lol How dare I send an offer! 😛

In my experience, not all watchers are potential buyers. Some of us may watch an item, for instance, because we have something similar we might like to list if it looks like it will sell for a good return. Personally, I've watched listings where the item seems so odd that I am just curious whether it sells at all. "How dare I send an offer.!" No one has actually said that to you, have they? No one is offended by receiving an offer to the best of my knowledge. And no one is obligated to accept an offer from a seller either.

Did the 'removed watcher' decline your offer before tying it up for 96 hours? 🤞

My last five sales were to watchers who received my SIOs.
It just depends.
ETA: Make that six.

I take great pleasure in ending items with lots of watchers.
I gave them a few chances to get the item at a good price.
But they refused.
How stupid can one be?

Is it possible that your prices even at 35% off are still high for buyers to pull the trigger?

Some may have one for sale and just want to see what it sells for. Most offers I have received were 5%. It's also handy for watching a seller to click see their other items. If they wanted to buy it, they already would have.

IMHO your experience from your offers many not be a big enough sample size to make a generalization about the millions people watching millions items.
When I send offers every month or two, I generally get a couple quick sales.

I've always found that lots of watchers don't purchase - ever since the feature was introduced. It's the nature of the game - people watch for all sorts of reasons, sometimes I sell sending offers, sometimes I don't. Feeling vindictive about it or personalising it is a mistake. It doesn't really matter that much. Buy or not - none of us are selling life-saving medicine. If they wanted it, they would buy it.

It’s best not to place any expectations on the anonymous watchers.
But it is a strong indication that your items are being seen, and apparently stirring interest in your item and/or listing style.

No. Pre offer, my prices were already excellent.

What makes u think watchers are buyers?
Many are sellers who are waiting to find out what something they have will sell for.
All these offers to buy just because you watch something or simply clicked on it can actually be kinda annoying to those who have been here long time.
I look at many things in actual stores that i don't end up buying...

I mainly bid auctions and stopped watching auctions since ebay decided to announce watchers in stereo with hearts, red banners, and again just below where you click to place bid. So now I put them in my favorites to not show my interest.
For BIN I do the same unless the seller has multiple quantity, then I may watch it. And even if I don't watch it I still receive offers from sellers just by viewing it, and have ended up buying the item when they did.

Sounds like you need to research items while not logged in if you want to avoid receiving offers. Why should buyers that are interested not receive the offers because of sellers?
