I noticed todfay that I can't see how many people are watching on any particular item listing on ebay. It only displays in red on the search page if it has 10+watching. Did they recently take this feature out? And why?

My watchers are all gone, at least 99 % are not showing to the public since I upgraded my store. I've lost sales due to it. I would call tech support and take screen shots like I did and show them that this is a grave error or glitch.. Watchers are so very important. I have 17 on one item and 14 on another item and nobody any longer is coming into my store due to it. My sales dropped to nearly nothing since this occured. So I called tech support and they said they looked on several computers and they saw all of them, (another glitch) because I have friends and family, we checked on 5 computers, and used different search engines to pull up ebay, we cleared cookies etc, and none of them could see my watchers, but when they logged back into their accounts all their watchers were there but mine. So we use Google Chrome, Fire Fox, MAC IOS, and also Opera. I don't want to pay more money for less .. Meaning I would have stayed at basic.. So because they could see watchers on their end, they are not looking into this much, or figure its your device but I went out of my way to leave my home to go to others homes to locate my items and to see if watchers are showing and NOPE,,, not one watcher.. I have like 2 items that are showing, and only either/ or, in search results and not on my link page, or on the link page and not in search.. but the rest..... the 99.999% are showing no watchers... I'm hoping to get a refund or at the very least downgrade my store without penalty to downgrade since my account is worse then it was at basic. But perhaps if you call it will help our cause. I did send them screen shots so I'm hoping they take it serious. And fix this in the next day.. I have lost a lot of sales and also its been going on for over 1 1/2 Weeks now..

They show on my page. In seller hub when I bring up my active listings the watcher column is right where it has always been. It does seem that eBay reset the totals to zero, but as time goes by the numbers are going up again.
If they are not showing for you then near the top right of the page is a link that says "customize". Click that and you will get a menu of things you can see if you want to. Just highlight the watchers link and they should show for you too.

This is the 3rd topic talking about this. I cannot believe people are upset that 10 people are watching but no one can see it. If ten people are watching you DO NOT want others to know that. They can see no one else is willing to commit to buy it so they hit the back button. Watch list IMO is a negative thing to show on your listing.

For people trying to sell, removing the number of watchers will have a really negative impact on sales. Seeing the number of watchers encourage other people to watch the item, this generates so much interest for an item, that sale can be expected at a certain point. This is a really terrible decision by eBay and it will have a negative impact on sales. People like to see what others are interested in buying, which in turn actively encourages someone to buy.

Only in the case of BIN's.
With auctions, the watchers are useful on the page for the stuff that should be auctioned.

If I remember correctly the watchcount was only shown on either BINs or auctions. I cannot remember which. It wasn't shown on both.

people who say watch counts 'dont matter' dont make any sense...its obviously not based on market research and totally lost on the fact that all major retailers rely on similar practices on a larger scale via social media--another example of overly opinionated, underinformed loud mouths.
the inability to see watchers issue is also another example of ebays customer service being clueless on a widespread issue affecting the site...whether its on purpose or not is a mystery....
