Think ill take break to sell. AND UP prices high to discourage bid til they end for the month til it they comes back. I don't always like to rely on online response and perfer to have phone in case situations arise. I guess asia was really affected.
They should at least put more REMOTE LIVE CHATS if they don't have call ins.

Which sometimes things need timely FAST action/reply so its not good at all... and also conclusion being made without knowing why or talking to a person Live, wheres as normally Id just close and call again. Not hard for the company to implent a live chat otherwise just leaving my listings to bare minimum to none til they step up normal.
In that case, Twitter or Facebook may be a better choice for customer service.

And that may very well be the answer for some sellers. Not for me as I'm OK with the options for CS right now. I do prefer a call center or live chat. But I'm fine and I'm selling enough to stay an active seller. That of course could change at any time and I may need to evaluate that at a later date. But for now I'm good.

"them 4" if you cannot figure that out then no wonder you don't know how a retired insurance investigator for the State could spot crime In action. I don't claim to be good at spelling or grammar but I do know fraud when I see it. If you would like someone from my office to pick apart your spelling and grammar I will be glad to have that done.. If you cannot look at a persons account and see that they have not sold in over a year and used to sell doll clothes but now they have 400 listings for car parts and two accounts with the exact same listings word for word identical then Yes these accounts have been hijacked. In the past I have helped ebay shut down dozens of bogus auto sales accounts. This person has now sold 30,000$ worth and when you look, all but a couple have zero or one feedback so these are new people who after this will not be back.
Yes we have a complete law staff and know how to report news and facts. I have plenty of facts . I She said to let you know she is not worried in the least about what she reports. The piece will run Friday and is very informative. As far as the 4-6 week shipping I missed it. I only expect that when I buy from china. NEVER when a listing says "expedited shipping" do I expect it not to get shipped to me within 1-2 days
This person has 20 negatives In the last couple days all saying "scam" and still selling so I wont worry any more. Sold my stock today and will close out my account when a few items are refunded by ebay

I have been emailing ebay, not the same as talking on the phone. I am also thinking about not buying or selling for a while. To much trouble. Ebay and Paypal, email is just not for me. I have a problem right now with a Seller using the same tracking number on to different sales. One a week ago and now she saids it went with my last order. They are a week apart and tracking said already been sent last week. I think scaming me. And it is going to show delivered, and of course I want get it all. Sorry but with out phones up there is a problem. I am going to have to stop buying.
The tracking number can only show delivery to one address. If they are using the same number on multiple packages, unless they are all your packages, that isn't going to work out well for the seller.
Go to USPS.com and plug in the tracking number. The dates are on the detailed tracking. She wouldn't be successful in using a tracking number last week on a shipment to you and then again this week. Well not in a way that would allow them to win an INR.
Do you do social media. If that is an option for you Facebook for Ebay business is likely the best option for you to get the quickest responses to your needs. I sincerely hope it all works out for you.

I have no idea what that rant is about as it has nothing to do with anything I posted.
You do realize you are not talking to Ebay on the threads, right!?

oh and my son does computer support for a group of 40 clinics across the usa. It took them less than 5 days to have laptops sent home and people are working from home and doing their jobs just fine. They deal with A federally controlled substance methadone which is highly regulated and the feds make you dot every i and they have been checked and they are totally secure. It cost them very little and is working well .Something as unregulated as ebay could be set up from home thru a secure server and Voip phones within a couple of days. If it was an India call center they could do it In a day
Not all computer systems are created equal and certainly not the same. Do any of those 40 clinics run a website the size and breath of Ebay? Likely not.
I don't know why Ebay hasn't moved to at least some CSRs working from home. Maybe they didn't think the health crisis would last as long as it now appears it is going to last. I have no idea what the details of accomplishing allowing CSRs to work from home with the proper hardware and software, while maintaining the security and integrity of a site this large.

After all, would you want to give your home phone number out and handle such calls on you home or mobile phone?
I have a phone system at work that I can ring to my home phone. It's not that hard to do.

You don't think CS on Ebay is more complicated than that? Would they not need to have access to the system / site? Likely using something like a VPN. But I'm no expert on computers or software. I do know they need more than the ability to just answer a phone.

Ebay sent me a message that I had 5 listings that needed to have email or outside links removed or they would be pulled. None had ether . Some things I sell have technical data in the listing and the AI picks it up as email or what ever. So I email support and get back an incoherent response that makes no sense and does not address the issue in any way. (They are still set to be pulled) I do not do not do Face Book or Twitter. Ebay could have easily worked out this issue and kept phone support. IMHO was just another opportunity for Ebay to cut costs and use the pandemic as cover to do so I liken it to when Ebay said the less then 2% of sellers were selling for 1 cent and charging $59 for shipping. We all needed to be charged 10% on shipping making them millions per year. when there were lots of ways to stop the a fending party's. I could name a number of things like that and Ebay then says it is for our own good to boot.
