WHAT A MESS!!

I had an email from a customer on Saturday telling me that the box I sent was missing one pillow of the shipment and another was damaged with black smudges.   The box I sent had four large pillows in it when it left here.     That was distressing enough because it was a high $$ sale.

 

Then the buyer sent me pics of everything.   Very detailed, excellent pics.    That was when I realized that they were not in the box that I sent them in.   I use Home Depot boxes so they have logos all over them and this box she received was plain.        So after the damage i guess the PO tried to cover it up when it seems like they could have just notified me.     Because the shipment was STILL here in our city!

 

I realized while trying to fill out the online insurance forms that when I pulled up the Tracking Info that although I shipped the box on Jan. 11th.   Our mail carrier picked it up and I received an email letting me know that it was on the way (which I unfortunately I never keep)    But the Tracking indicates that while I printed the label and shipped the box that PO was "awaiting item"!!   A total lie!

 

I am no longer a high volume seller thank goodness because this would scare me to death!    I am disabled so actually going to the PO and standing in line for a long time is very difficult for me.    They have closed all the PO's in our area except for one so it is packed with people waiting all day long.    Having the pickup is very important to me and until this happened I've never had a bad experience.   I've considering trying to amp up my selling again just a little but I'm reconsidering.

 

I am going to replace the pillow that is missing and the one that is damaged.   The box was insured but   who knows how that will go.   I'm not hopeful at this point.     But I also have the problem that Ebay probably thinks I didn't ship the box for almost 2 weeks after the sale!    Which I NEVER do!   But I have no idea if they would even listen to me.....if there was even a way to actually speak with someone.

 

What a mess!    Thankfully I can fix it for my customer.    And eventually I will get over being so upset!   But I've wasted almost 2 days attempting to understand and then fix something that I didn't screw up!    All the PO had to do was send the box back to me and tell me that damage was done so I could fix it right away!      I would not have been mad, have fixed the damage and still shipped within the time frame that we have!    But NO....I had to go thru all this!   !!%??#!!!!

 

Having to do absolutely EVERYTHING with a computer is driving me nuts!   Every once in a while actually being able to SPEAK with someone would be helpful.    Or then maybe not because customer service does not often seem to care either.
