Volume discounts, anyone use this feature, does it help with sales?

So I was creating some drafts today, and noticed a new option at the bottom to offer "volume discounts". Just wondering if anyone uses this option, and does it help with increasing sales? Also, I'm guessing it will also give the volume discount even if you honor a best offer for a buyer.  So opinions on this, does it help sales?

It depends on how savvy the buyers are. I have seen examples of where someone will buy quantity of another listing that was cheaper, but mine would have been cheaper with the volume discount. Shame eBay doesn't allow searching by quantity available. If I was looking for 5 of something and could have price lowest first reflect the cheapest option that would be neat.
