Viewport meta tag ???

I'm freshing up a lot of old and stale listings, because I'm not one to let inventory sit for too long, I want merchandise selling pretty fast and going out the door, and this stuff has been hanging around, unsold, for too long.

I'm doing everything in Seller HUB these days and am checking for mobile view-ability.   Keep getting this:  Viewport meta tag incorrect or missing

I click the box that says Fix it for me but,  what is it?  Do I really need it?  And what will happen to my listings if I don't fix this on every listing?  Smiley Surprised   (...and I thought that was something that I'd taken care of initially when I moved everything over to HUB...)

That makes your description text fit properly on mobile devices.  Something to do with webpage rendering and such I think.

...except that there is the other part in that same *check-it-out* section that is already telling me my listings are viewable on small cell phone screens, without requiring any scrolling to view easily.

So is this viewport meta tag something in addition to the width for easy viewing??

I know for mine, if the viewport tag is not there, I fail that part. If the tag IS there, I pass.  If you're passing without having the viewport tag, I'm going to assume that you don't need it. Do you format your listings using any HTML? I have mine at a larger font size, maybe that makes the difference?  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
