I really like that I can include a short video along with my photos, it might be the only thing I like about the new listing layout, but the review period is killing me here. Why not set something up so that trusted sellers with a good record can bypass the review process, or make it so that videos are instantly available to proven sellers?
We could have it so that anyone with 100 sales a year can bypass it, or whatever number is deemed enough to show that we have no malicious intent. If not that, then how about making no review process a perk of being top rated plus or something? There has to be some situation where each video does not need to be manually reviewed if the seller has exhibited that they are on the up and up.
I have been including disclaimers in my listings with videos to let buyers know that if they see no videos, that if they check back in a day or two, they should be able to see them, but there has to be a better way.

Agree with you - the delay timeline is a turnoff for many Sellers. Like the idea of seasoned sellers not having to be vetted.

What is it that needs to be reviewed so extensively in a video that doesn't need to be reviewed as extensively in a picture? If pictures don't have a delay, why do videos? Please don't try to tell me that there is some software or algorithm for vetting pictures but not videos or some kind of nonsense. Give me a break. I guess it's 1 step forward 2 steps back.

As an FYI... if you save your listing to drafts first, the videos are still reviewed.
I do this, then in 24-48 hours I make the listing live.
This way buyers see the video without issue.

I imagine that videos will eventually be treated like pictures.....and uploaded quickly.......this is a new program and they are "finding their way"..........

I've been able to upload short videos on Etsy for YEARS.
Take video, upload and it's up and live as soon as I click list. I also sell way more there than I ever sold here. I gave up on ebay after last years crazy changes right before the holidays. Wonder what they'll do this year. I come back to check the account because ebay refuses to close it, keeps sending me please come back messages to spite opting out on messages numerous times. All I see is the more glitches and complaints. I wonder how many don't bother to post their issues here. I see no reason to sell on ebay again. I don't even buy here anymore because the search stinks now. I can find what I want on goggle easier.

Agree! Etsy has made adding videos easy for years.
