We have been selling on Ebay for 15+ years now, but since March sales have struggled. Ebay seemed to make changes to the search engine meaning items we had sold hundreds of units of were no longer selling. They became almost invisible.
Today we only had 8 sales on EBay. A few years ago we were averaging 50 a day.
I would be interested to hear how other sellers are doing at the moment? I am extremely worried about the way things seem to be going!

I know too, exactly what you mean, been selling since 2002 slowest two months ever,
this is suppose to be the busy time of year what happened ? I had 800 items on ebay,
finally, listed all on craigslist, one guy bougtht them all, and closed my store, now have just
75 items on ebay with no store, 1 sale in last 2.5 weeks, basically dead.
Wonder if this is happening on amazon or just ebay? anyone have clues ?

They ruined my once terrific Ebay business as well. Likely will be closing up shop at the end of the year, after 15 years! Almost on the brink of losing money. Very sad what has happened!

Would you like to share a little more details. Maybe some of us may have some ideas that may help you.

Do you know the slippery craft site? it's worse then here? Well a few sellers come over, brand new, make 10 sales and tell everyone else, Ebay is it? I have a sore on my head now? from beating it on the table?(kidding) didn't we all go thru this??? everyone from here went there? now it's come full circle. I made more money on the ranch then this sorry site. both stink.

* Roll Sinead O'cconor background music:
"It's been seven hours and fifteen days,
Since my last item sold
I revise all night and list all day
Since I don't need to pack at all"
BTW the timeframe that she gives in the song is on point with my case.
I'm just sad.

Hahaha! I like that! Not that you're not busy, that s*cks! But the song and lyrics, spot on. 🙂

Hello , Not good at all ,I am also feeling the pain , I have 441 active listings and only sale i had was on a different site called bonanza . Ebay has slowed down to a stop for me i have called ebay asked for help to get my items seen and have had no luck with anyone helping me . I have to sell on other sites just to pay my auto relisting fees that ebay charges and at 35 cents a relist it adds up . At this point i am feeling a little robbed by the company .I do not find it fair that they auto relist 400 plus items of mine a month and leave me in the dark with no sales unsearchable items and with their new auto relist it is a 35. charge fees for items that are not being seen .

My total sales over 4 accounts hit 25 with a week left in November - over the past 19 years I have sold an average of 53 items in November. With Thanksgiving and Black Friday among the remaining days - it doesn't look promising for additional sales.
What is really strange is that 40% of my November sales are used books which rarely sell this time of year. Maybe search works better for books.

Unfortunately around day 28/29 I kill the listings not to pay the renew fee, simple logic which the brainiacs at EB don't get.
Here is why it is likely not GTC. Many sellers used GTC listings long before the mandate happened in March. Many of those same sellers that primarily or solely used GTC listings are also having slower sales than are normal or usual for them.
The problems with the Search engine along with the multitude of problems outlined on the Tech Board are likely to be having the largest impact on sellers across Ebay. Just my opinion.
I agree with you on the 1st point. I think its not GTC, its the search engine and the implementation of full fledged category based search. For months after my sales went down, I tried million things until I realised that there is a visibility quota system at ebay. At first, I thought the visibility is item based (certain items from a seller visible for an x amount of time based upon the promoted %age) however I have realised that its not. The visibility is category based i.e the magic button for certain categories switches on and sales starts to come (only from that category) however this doesn’t last for long. Secondly, the visibility is area based (post code based) All of a sudden you get sales only from one part of the country. Ebay’s great customer service when advised me that ‘may be the items you are selling are not in demand anymore’ & ‘may be you have a competitor selling same item for cheap’ I asked them how come there are good few interested people only in the south of the country and nowhere else on a certain day and then all of a sudden the interest post code shifts to somewhere north east? There is no solution to the later problem however the visibility switch for the category can be managed and I’m sure you know what I mean by that ; ) Yes, re-list your items in a hot category that ebay loves to make visible. Keep trying until it works for you. Wish all of you a great peak season. Best of luck...

Actually it appears you agree with both points I made. While I didn't go into it in detail and just suggested taking a peek at the Tech board, on the tech board all the trials and tribulations going on within the clothing categories are described. It has been worse than a hot mess for many sellers in those categories for over a month and a half. Some sellers not even able to list new items or revise existing listings. But the threads describe all the issues in more details and there were many.
