If we have a used Vero item (not brandnew) can we sell it on a used item listing?
Thank you

That, under the first sale doctrine, is no longer true as corporations like Chanel have successfully argued in court that only they can provide the authentic "experience" and all other sales outside their authorized distribution network are counterfeit. Many other producers of astronomically high margin items, like Chanel perfumes, have followed suit demanding that Ebay remove listings of their products using the Trump doctrine of "so sue me" if you don't like it.

Maybe Chanel changed their mind or just isn't paying attention; when I search on "chanel" perfume, I get 988 Results. Do you have a link to details about that court decision?

Not true. Some companies do not want others to sell their items. OTTERBOX is one company. Now everytime that hubby buys a new phone, he gets a new Otterbox protective case. The old one will go into the trash bin since I can NOT sell it here. I am NOT an authorized Otterbox company. It does not matter if the item is new or old.
So to the poster, that depends what is your item. Can you tell us and I am sure someone will know the correct answer to your question.

Google chanel vs eBay
You will see references to Tiffany vs eBay which is were the the ruling @m60driver referred to originated.
These lawsuits don't prevent the sale of legitimate chanel products from being listed and sold by approved sellers but they DO make eBay very strict about who can list them.
