I hope someone can help me. I have received two emails from an eBay department called the Vero group saying that my account has been restricted because I sell and import items from the EU and EEU. I have never bought or sold a single item to or from the EU in my 13 years of being on eBay. The first time my account was restricted for 3 days, now they have restricted it for 10 days! The thing I don't understand is they have full access to my account and would easily know whether or not I sell to and import from the EU or not. Has anyone been through this unjust action from eBay before? How do I get this restriction removed? Any thoughts? Thanks for your help.

It doesn't matter where you SELL, it matters where you OFFER the item for sale.
And I just looked at two of your recent completed listings for ink cartridges, and you offer shipping to dozens of countries aside from the USA:

Last I checked, Germany and Spain and Italy were all still in the EU.

I see you sell HP products. They only allow authorized sellers and 'refurbishing co's.' to sell their products. The Vero notice may have been 'off' when suggesting where you get your items. Try ebay on facebook, have them look into it.

Whatever listings eBay removed, if any, DO NOT re-list them until this gets straightened out. Otherwise, you'll be banned forever. eBay may assume you sell from those countries because your listings state you ship to those countries? Who knows?

Did they remove any of your listings when they sent you the notice?

Generally speaking, "parallel imports" are items that are being sold in a market without the intellectual property owner's permission.
So the complaint may not be about where you got the item FROM, it may be about where you are offering to ship the item TO.
It could be that parallel imports of Dell products to Estonia are not permitted. But without knowing what items were involved, all we can do is speculate.

Thanks for your response. Yes, 3 hp inks were deleted which I do not plan to relist. But I am just worried going forward. I buy and sell here in the USA, so not sure where they got their idea of buying or shipping to EU from.

OMG! I have been totally blind to this part of my listing you just highlighted! I never put that there! That was put there by eBay, their system or.... but not me, ever! This is so helpful. I will have to go back and make sure they are not on the rest of my listing. Thank you so much!

I'm not sure that HP can limit your sales ouside the US if you are not an HP dealer. You should check with a lawyer since this is obviously the kind of legal question that HP believes can be used to browbeat its unsophisticated ebay victims with impunity.

This is caused due to the Ebay Global Shipping box being checked. These items are fine to sell as long as you don't check that box, or have any other international shipping option checked.
