Variations

I have a listing with 40 variations.  How do I get these to read in alphabetical order in the the drop down selection box?

You need to go into the 'edit' view.....

each variation is in it's own little box...

You need to drag and drop them into the order you want them to display (starting with the top left as #1 position...then it goes to the right...then down a row

(my display shows about 3 positions at a time, your's may differ)

Position 1 ---->   Position 2-------> Position 3

Position 4 ----> Position 5 -----> Position 6

...and so on

The order in the lower part of the edit view (pricing, etc) is irrelevant to the positioning

hope that gets you on track

Re: Variations

@vinylstuff

I've never used Variations but I would think that they show in the order they were created in.

If you plan to use Variations for 40 different records it's (a) not what Variations are intended for and (b) bad for you because it's almost impossible for buyers to find your listings in Search if the artist/title is not in the Title. They could do it if you list all that info in your Description area but (a) not many buyers do that and (b) every time you sell one you will need to revise the list in your description to remove the one that has been sold.

Re: Variations

Those are not variations, they are different items.

Re: Variations

When you set up/revise your variations listing you can choose what order you want them in.

Re: Variations

Thanks.  The drag and drop did it.
