Variations listing photos behaving weird

I noticed this a few weeks ago. Anyone see the same thing?

I'm not referring to the "Default" or header photos that you upload at the parent level of the listing, but rather the photos you upload at the variation level. For example each color variation photo. For these purposes I will use color as an example of variation.

Regardless of how you sort or display the color in the variation pulldown menu, ebay will now always display your variation photos in alphabetical order after the Default photos. Let's say if you sort your colors in order "Red, Pink, Black, Green" in the pulldown menus, ebay will sort the photos in a different order "Black, Green, Pink, Red" which is alphabetical.

I'm seeing this in seller's listings as well, but not all listings.

There has been many problems with the photo editor, just replied to another post, Hopefully they will get it fixed, But who knows??

Is this problem linked to that? I don't use ebay's photo editor. And variation listings have had a long history of re-sorting things alphabetically in the past for no reason.

I usually sort my variations alphabetically because I think it's easier for buyers so I couldn't tell you by checking my own listings. If you have any IDs you want me to check you can post or PM the ID (doesn't have to be your own account if you know the display is wrong). That way I can confirm if I'm seeing the same thing.

I remembered a variation listing I have that's not in alphabetical order. Just checked it and the order is still how I set it (not alphabetical).
