Variations Listing.

I've done it hundreds of times before, now I can't do it.

I'm creating a variations listing but it wont let me use the variation "Size".

What am I doing wrong?

After messing with it some more, it will let me add "Size." or "-Size-" or "Size_" but not "Size".

From other users posts previously, I thought that had always been an issue. I’ve usually recommended using something like “Shirt Size” or “Package Size” depending on the type of item.

Under the first page for the listing, if there is an option for "Size" there, it will prevent you from using "Size" in the variation.  Sometimes you can remove or hide the one on the first page then it will work.  Otherwise, you will have to be creative instead.  No workaround that I can think of other than that.

Here is where the clue is:

So go out of the variation portion.  Go to item specifics under your listing title, and see if you can hide or remove "Size" as an attribute.  THEN you can use "Size" in the Variation settings.

If you already have "size" shown in your Item Specifics (you cannot add Size as a variation).   I would just start over with a new "blank listing".

I was unable to remove or hide "Size" from the item specifics so I still couldn't get it to work  ... but I did use the other work around and use "Underwear Size" instead of "Size".

Just doesn't make sense that I would have to do this but it is what it is.

The problem is, the field is automatically populated for a clothing listing.  Several fields are always auto added to a listing when you pick a category.  So its not like a new listing will get around this particular problem.  I have ran into this before, I just didn't use the field in the main page (left it empty) and changed the name of the field to something similar or appropriate to the item I was listing and that solves the issue.

Minor problem, but I wish ebay would fix this.
