If an eBay seller goes on vacation longer than 30 days, can they insert 30days, then reset again for longer - right after the 30-day time period?
In other words, let's say one goes away from 40 days. Set the vacation to 30 days, items come back online, then reset the vacation/away feature for the additional 10 days?

You can extend the time away without ending it. I have done that but not sure if you can "extend" to go beyond 30 days.
Ending, and then setting it again, as others have posted, is likely the safest way to work it.
Can be done with the ID open for purchases for less than 10 seconds.

Yes, you can, but you need to catch it as the 1st one ends, let it come back live and then re-set it for the 2nd duration.
I think last time, we ended the one we were on and as soon as it showed it back up, we put it on time away again. Have not done this in a while, but pretty sure I had to end one and then start a new one.

I'm not sure if you can reset or edit it but you can
end it and restart it again anytime you want.

I been setting mine for 30 days.
Around 20 to 25 days (or when you think about it), end the time away for a couple minutes, then restart it for 30 days or how ever much more time you need.

Ok, got it.
one last question everyone...
Would this be better than just removing all the listings until I return if I have an Above Standard - Current seller level?
I'd like to keep this sales level if I can...

I like to leave my listings up. I sell items that I have multiples of, and I think the sales history is helpful when someone sees that I have sold 2, 5, 10, or 20+ of an item without problems.
