Hello: I turned my vacation settings on and also indicated to hide the fixed items. A person wants to purchase a fixed item which ends in 21 hours. I put my vacation setting on since I am in the process of moving. Can I still sell the item to him and how? Thanks. Connie for constance-lily

@shininglightsellers If the Vacation setting is ON and you are hiding the FP listings then no, they probably can not see it nor purchase it. If you know the Buyer will purchase AND pay immediately you can end that listing and create a new one as an Auction, tell them to place a bid, end the listing accepting the bid and send them an invoice.
If you have messaged them on the FP listing be careful, because eBay may interpret communication and an ended listing as a possible sale off the site so you need to have a message stating you only sell through eBay.
Just a few ideas on how to get it done ...

Turn your vacation setting off, send the buyer a link to the listing and tell them to act fast.
Then turn the vacation setting back on.

Thank you very much. The person was watching the item before I turned on the vacation setting. Good solution. Connie for shininglightsellers

Vacation setting.
As the sun sets beyond the crystal blue ocean, a cool breeze picks up and stirs the air.
Sea gulls swoop, rising, falling, calling...
Sorry, couldn't resist...had to go to my happy place.

Congrats on the sale, OP, and may you have a successful, uneventful move!

I'm glad it worked out OK for you, but you did take a risk that somebody would purchase one of your other items while the Hide setting was off.
I prefer mr-L's solution, to relist the item in auction format, since auctions aren't hidden, then end it early as soon as he placed a bid.

If a member has an item on their Watch list, then via that link they can still see it, but there's a message at the top explaining that the item can't be purchased because "the seller is not processing orders".

This is true.
