I am trying to set up one of the new Volume Pricing Promotions, read the info, watched the video and still need help!
It states you can add "eBay Category ID", but what does that mean? There used to be category numbers but can't seem to find those anymore, do you just use the category name?
I know you can do it on each individual listing, but that is a lot of extra work, would like to just use one category to save time. Anyone here who has done that and knows for sure how it works? Thanks!

You can find most of them in the summer and or fall seller update? I do not remember which one? I reviewed them there as they were announcing the category changes and they included the IDs.

@vintageista I also wanted to share with you that the volume discount tool does not work across different items? It is designed and will only calculate for multiplies of the same listing. It also will not work for multi variation listings at this time.
I am mentioning this because I believe you are a single item seller for the most part?

ebay displays volume pricing on every listing no matter if you're selling 1 item or 10. If a seller selects 1 as quantity it shouldn't be displayed, but it is and just adds to the cornfusion.

I am in the same boat you are. Tried to get it up across all my plus sized tops and bottoms. It's a total failure.

It was just another poorly explained and poorly implemented greatest thing since sliced bread feature ebay rolled out...

Dear Bubb. I get all that. So now the OP has 2 opposite replies: no you can't, then yes you can. So how does she do the "fix" to make it work? Not that you work for ebay lolol. Luv ya Bub. Or...should this be sent to a Blue to explain?

It is a feature for items that you have more than just one of they are all alike and you can select the discount offered as they increase the number of items they want. Its not for sellers who have only the one item. OP can accomplish the same thing using the make offer feature...

Thx Bub. I don't do all the fancy stuff. Just wanted her to get a clear answer. Been here a long time. Thanks again.

Hey, look at Bubbles reply as the last comment (so far) on this thread. Hope it works for you.

Works well with dinnerware if you don't use make a offer, but since ebay can't get shipping correct it all backfires when the buyer sees the shipping total and they pop a cork....

@goodluckselling You are a positive person so I thought maybe you would know a way around this for a one of item seller such as the OP; perhaps a statement as to what the volume offer would be in the description would work?
