Hi, im a privat seller in Sweden. I recently sold a watch to canada, now i received a final fee wich included about 40$ VAT.. what is this and why do i have to pay it? I’ve heard about people saying ”don’t pay VAT” etc, so please explain it for me.

You do have to pay VAT on final value fees but $40 sounds like quite a bit. How much were your fees and what did the buyer pay for the watch plus shipping?

If you are registered and selling on the Ebay Sweden web site, you would probably get better answers by posting your questions on the Ebay Sweden Message Boards / Community Forum.
