Usual lack of comprehensive support from eBay when an issue arises

Sold an item several days ago. The buyer immediately emailed and asked for the transaction to be cancelled  claiming (allegedly) that they believed cost was in US dollars not Sterling and price was too high, which they were not going to pay. As a seller who believes in the highest level of service I complied and sent a request to eBay for cancellation on basis of mutually agreed cancellation. Several days later despite a message to the buyer requesting their co-operation they have still not confirmed their demand.  I am left with an item I wish to sell that is stalled as the buyer is quick enough to demand cancellation but does not have the good manners to follow through without delay.  I cannot progress the matter as eBay are impossible to contact and because this request is awaiting the buyers response a non payment resolution cannot be opened. As usual the level of support from eBay is lacking for sellers and places much higher priority on buyers (whether they deserve it or not)

Do you not have the ability in the UK to cancel using the reason "Buyer Requested"?

Just a couple of mouse clicks & job's done.

Should be no need to call eBay or have further contact with the buyer & you will have a hard time contacting them on here at eBay.com

However you may have some joy on eBay.co.uk

Re: Usual lack of comprehensive support from eBay when an issue arises

I have been tring to cancel an order and cannot find out what I have to do. Policies are worthless because they have not been updated. Telling me to go to My eBay, Sold, More Actions, Cancel doesn't work because the tabs are not there. I am new here and have had many online shops and never had such a non response as eBay. If there is no one to contact, how do you solve problems. I find many of the answers posted just plain rude and cruel. Buyers are important, but it takes a Seller to get a Buyer. A kind word of encouragement would work so much better. Now, how do I cancel an order as a Seller, not a buyer. I also clicked on cancel as a Seller and it goes to cancel as a buyer.

Isn't there a drop-down menu to the left of the order number in your Orders tab? There's a link to cancel order from that transaction drop-down

Re: Usual lack of comprehensive support from eBay when an issue arises

Under My ebay-> selling you will find a link to the items you have sold or orders depending on which inteface you have.

From there find the sold item.

Use the drop down menu and choose " cancel transaction/order"

Then choose buyer "requested cancelation".

Buyer is automatically refunded and you can relist item.

I am surprised that you do not have the drop down menu which other posters have also referred to.

Have you asked your fellow sellers on the UK BOARDS on eBay. co.uk about this?

Step1:

Step2:

Step3: Profit!

(Oops! That step's only valid if Step 1 was "steal underpants")
