Using coded coupons

Just wanted to know, If I already have a promotion of 10% off all my items in the store and create a coupon for 5% off, will the 5% be a additional discount of the already discounted items. I'm just doing the 5% discount for the next few days for black friday. Once the days have ended, will the already 10% discount in place stay the same.

So, is your 10% off promotion a Markdown Manager promotion? And you are planning on offering , either privately or publicly, a 5% off Coded Coupon?  Coded Coupons are stackable with Markdown Manager offers. So, yes, if an item is 10% off per MM, and the buyer uses a 5% off Coded Coupon, the buyer will get 5% off the already marked down price.
