I recently received a package I bought on ebay but it was clearly bought and delivered by amazon-even had a gift receipt.
Had to return it, the return label is an amazon building.
Is this allowed by ebay? Pretending it's a gift, and buying through amazon?
Amazon told me it was against their rules.

It is against the rules (both Ebay and Amazon) for a seller to use their Prime account to ship to their buyer. If you received a gift note, that is what your seller did.
It is NOT against the rules for a seller to send their own inventory to an Amazon warehouse, then have Amazon ship to their buyer. This is Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) and is 100% legitimate.

Also report seller to Amazon for abuse of Prime account and they will be suspended there as well.
