I for various reasons can’t access a computer so I’m subject to automatic payment and I have buyers who are mad and eBay won’t help

Oh I didn't mean that full-size computers are going to die out as a whole; I don't think that will ever happen.  I just meant each individual computer eventually dies, which could be why the OP said they couldn't access one, because theirs "died."  It's a scenario that's all too easy for me to picture, because I am on a 2010 Macbook, using the Firefox browser only because this computer is too old to update to an IOS modern enough to run Chrome.  I'm pretty sure the screen isn't as bright as it used to be either.  Its days are numbered for sure.

I have x86/64 Intel and ARM based machines because I compile software for all these architectures

Will laptop use die soon? I don't think so

Will smartphone use escalate , the answer is yes.

The consumer base expects more and more of smartphones every year
