Hello,
I've been trying to respond to a few customer messages we received over the weekend but since yesterday , whenever I click send there's an error code that says "User Not Found". But when i check the customer's profile it's still there.
What could be the reason behind this? Did the customer leave the thread or what?

Could be the member was using a guest account.
Are you attempting to respond from the app? If yes use a web browser in your device or a desktop computer/laptop. The app can be quite glitchy.

This is due to an annual increase in system activity experienced during this period, which has caused processing delays.

Try contacting that user through a different link on a different page, such as the "contact" link on the user's feedback or profile page. That should rule out a problem with a bad link.
If I recall correctly, at one point there was a particular link on specific selling page that seemed to have problems passing username along correctly and that would provide such an error.
