used socks are not permitted so i have come across many sexual posts that say "new with tags". So my question is this is it allowed to post sexual pics and sell as new? when reality is there pictures are far more sexual and show lots more than some of the sellers I've come across selling as "used"
comments?

No, it is not allowed to mislabel used socks as new.
As for "sexual pics", that is not a very clear standard. It suspect it would fall under the "adult items" policy regarding "sexually explicit or overtly sexual content".
And since eBay has over 1 billion items, and 2.5 million of them match the term "socks", I doubt they have the time, manpower, or interest in reviewing each one and applying some sort of a "sexuality" standard to the photos.

yeah they’re catering to the foot/sock and trashed shoes fet!sh people. There are websites that are strictly for selling that sort of thing and they should be peddling used socks over there... not here.
It doesn’t bother me since there’s a fetish for everything from chewing gum to sneezing — and something isn’t sexual until someone decides to sexualize it. Right now, some hand fetishist is probably drooling over hand photos in the ring category, while an ear fetishist is having a party browsing the earring category looking for photos of ears.
However, selling “Well Worn” and unwashed clothing is a PayPal TOS violation since the transaction is adult-natured and this could cost the seller their paypal account + all the funds in the account.
I was looking for a designer blouse last week and came across a listing where the seller included selfie pics modeling the blouse paired with skimpy thong undies (and a major front-wedgie). So... not sure how that’s working for her, butt I hope she’s making bank.
