I found the same error in the archives of 2014 (!). Ebay has become a very lazy fat giant, suffocating in its own vomit after continually, greedily eating too much. Maintenance of the place is now minimal, if at all.
I'm trying to send someone a message and prove my statement by adding pictures, but after about 30 or 40% percent upload, I get the error "Server Error, please remove and try again". As can be expected, no "trying again" ever leads to success.
On the off-chance that there is a solution somehow, here my question. I use the latest iteration of Firefox on Windows 10 and have not noticed any other errors.
I'll restart the process and try later.
Any ideas in the meantime?
Thanks

Maybe try reducing the file size of the pictures, if you can do so without reducing the quality.

Thanks. They are screenshots, one is less than 200 kB, the other about 88kB. Regular JPGs. But I could try another format.
Edit: Any other picture, small or large: same error. Different browser: same error.

Try disabling any popup blockers you might have. Had similar issue on one of my browsers and that was the issue.

I've created about 100 listings in the last few days, and no problems uploading files in the 200k-600k range. I am a software engineer, so I use Chrome almost exclusively.
What listing form are you using?

This used to happen to me all the time - if I remember correctly, I think it had something to do with too many messages with attachments in my inbox. At any rate, I always just forwarded the photos to my cell, then attached the photos to the message using the eBay app. Kind of a pain, but it got the job done.

LOL.
I completely missed that.

this problem just started for me yesterday, using the HTML web page and MS Edge, I can not upload any image of any size as an attachment to a message, but I can still create listings with images.

Someone mentioned changing from a JPEG to a .png worked for them. Also, make sure you have your email format set to Include Graphics in your Account>Communication Preferences>Delivery Options.

Still the same.

No nasty of an opening topic to even discuss your problem.

This was the Only way I could upload photos. I tried from my laptop, desktop kept getting the server error. Saw this suggestion and used the Ebay app on my iPhone and worked as it should, no more errors.
