Upgrading from Individual to Business

Can someone help me with a couple questions regarding switching from an individual to a business account on eBay.

Does everything go with you as far as your feedback, and selling status, etc? Is the transition pretty seamless?

What are the benefits of switching?

I did awhile back and wasn't  able to edit the type of account from personal to business.  I'm  pretty sure you'll need to make an account and choose one or the other.  If that's not right someone is sure to come along and say that's right or wrong.

If I was you.  I will just wait to make the transition from Personal to a Business account until next year (2023), ebay is making alot of changes, and today ebay says something, tomorrow ebay says some thing else.  The the day after tomorrow, ebay says some thing totally different.

Are you operating as an LLC? If not there are no benefits to switching to a business account type.

yes, we actually are an LLC.

I did this, my main selling account is the initial account I started out with. Over the years I've changed the ID a few times and when we opened an LLC I added my partner's information and the LLC information. I've still got my status and feedback.

Now if you change the name you will be marked for a while as a recent change, but I never noticed that as an issue.

Benefits? I don't know of any, I just did it so they have accurate information.
