Hello all:
Last week I started a thread about my 1st return in 21 years of selling here. Team set of 34 baseball cards from a 19 feedback buyer.
Well, got the cards back and I was not surprised.
(1)he sent back only 33 of the 34.
(2)he replaced 14 of the cards with cards badly off center (90-10 and 95-5 centering).
I contacted several sellers he had purchased from and 2 stated he was already complaining about the sets he received from them. Glad I could give them a heads up.
I issued the refund and reported him. No sense escalating it as the deck is stacked.
Hope none of you receive a visit from him.
regards and happy selling to all

I'd still report the buyer for any and everything I could including IC3, USPS mail fraud, and whichever report buyer cases can be filed. It may seem like a waste of time but eventually the evidence piles up and they get punished. Also, whenever I get that "hinky" buyer, I always let them know all returns will be opened in the presence of the mail carrier to confirm the contents match what I sent.
More often than not I never hear from them again.

thank you all for the replies...all good ideas but I don't think the police would care and since I opened the package at home the PO would probably disregard...I never had the chance to communicate with the scammer since ebay automatically approved the return but I am saving his email addy and will call him out in 90 days.
