Unhappy with Ebay policy that lets Ebay buyers get away with leaving unwarranted negative feedback and getting away with it. I advertised a model car body and decals for sale and buyer "imagined" he was buying the whole kit. My add clearly stated it was body and decal sheet only and pictures proved it as well. Buyer never messaged me before or after about any issues they had. Just went off on me with negative feedback. I have messaged the buyer several times to refund sale and keep what he has but no response. With over 11,000 positive feedback I take offense to this false claim.I wish Ebay was more pro seller oriented...........After all if Ebay lost its sellers there would be no Ebay!

It does sound like the buyer had an issue with the return process because they were not able to provide the picture for the return and are penalizing your for it. (buyers phone not compatible)
That being said, you did list this as NEW and it really does not say it is incomplete and i could see how it could be mistakenly purchased as a Brand New item that is complete.

I think Ebay policy should be that if buyers have a problem with purchase they must prove they messaged seller first to try to resolve the issue before leaving negative feedback and blindsiding the seller.

When leaving feedback, eBay does state the buyer must wait 7 days before leaving negative feedback.
Feedback is and always has been an opinion of how they view the transaction went.

Your title does say:
"FUNNY CAR WITH DECALS PACKAGE"
Your first photo shows a vehicle.
If you're just selling the body and decals, that's what the title should say and your first photo should show that.

Buyers have never had to message the seller 1st.
I will say that FB isnt what it used to be.
With as many FB as you have 1 Negative means nothing.
Now, your response will be judged by potential buyers more than the negative.
All CAPS is yelling and rude.
Had you just posted in your response "Im sorry you are unhappy with the item. You must have not read the description because it was only for the car body and decals. Please return for refund"
and left it at that, you as a seller look professional and reasonable.
Good luck!

Sorry for your situation. However, I must agree with some of the others here who replied. Your title is a bit misleading. What's a funny car?
You have lots of great feedback from other's who are singing your praises, concentrate and focus on that and move on. 1 negative isn't going to hurt you at all.

When you post a photo in the item for sale that is what a buyer is thinking they are buying.
Although you been lucky in the past...I would only post a photo(s) of what is for sale.
The photos of the real cars are cool but should not be in the sale of the item.
So, the buyer sounds like they made a purchase "phone isn't right type" on their cell phone with an eBay app.
These ads do not show everything like on a computer...and a buyer has to look for the "description' button when making a purchase on a cell phone.
More and more buyers will be making purchases on their cell phones in the purchase..
This is probably hard to do on a cell phone for the unexperienced buyer. I am guessing
the buyer got really upset...not your fault...and buyer got frustrated and left the negative feedback.
You get 10 days to send a revision to the buyer to change feedback.
We have all gotten a negative feedback at some point. Just block the buyer and forget about it.
Considering how much you sold in the past....the negative feedback already got buried.

A "funny car" is a particular type of drag racing vehicle and a specific racing class in organized drag racing. (NHRA). It is capable of accelerating from a standing start to 340 miles per hour in less than 4 seconds and in only a quarter of a mile. Among the other 15 classes are Top Fuel, Pro Stock. Top Alcohol, and many more.

This, completely. I could have sworn there was a brief period of time where this was the case. I may have imagined it but I thought the buyer HAD to show that they messaged a complaint and the seller given opportunity to make right before leaving less than positive. I was given a negative and neutral recently that were complete garbage with no real recourse. My numbers overall dwarf the two but I want no less than positive, especially unwarranted.

No, but perhaps you're thinking of the 7-day waiting period required before leaving non-Positive feedback for Top Rated Sellers...?

OK, and how much eBay would there be if eBay lost its buyers?

This is true IF the seller is TRS.

I can see the other posters concerns about making a point of having Bernstein's real car in the photo array.
However, I've been to the Gatornationals enough times over the years to know that the actual car isn't part of the listing, and I would assume that a drag racing enthusiast and model builder would study the listing enough to know what they are buying. Although you do state as much in the detailed listing, unfortunately most buyers don't seem to bother reading these days. I guess sellers should 'dumb down' their given listings as much as possible to avoid this kind of thing. You have a lot of neat kits, some of which I can remember building back in the 1960's. Sorry this happened to you.
