I sold a cd single that specified the number of tracks (3) and buyer left me negative feedback because he was disappointed it only contained 3 tracks!! I contacted him asking to remove and he said he would but never did. I reported to eBay expecting them to reverse but they sided with the buyer! I just don't get it. I've been selling on eBay since the late 90s and very disappointed. Now my 100% rating is effected through no fault of my own!
If anyone has a solution I'd love to hear it.

This kind of thing is happening because of eBay's stupid "buy this now" pop-up - people aren't bothering to click into the description any longer. I'm having to put all information in photos now.
Once this feedback hits 60 days old, it can be revised by the buyer or by Ebay.
I think @mam98031 meant Once this feedback hits 60 days old, it cannot be revised by the buyer or by Ebay.
It's too late now, and unfortunately you wasted your response on a communication that should have been sent to the buyer instead of using it to show your customer service and good business practices.

The only way a buyer can change their feedback is if you send a "feedback revision" which is available at the bottom of the feedback page -- if it is eligible and not too much time has passed.

I requested that thinking they would do it but they refused which I don't understand as the description was clear. How I feel is I may as well have sold a red car and then buyer left me negative because the car was red!

It appears you just need to get use to it. None of us likes those darn things, but it won't hurt your account.
The feedback revision form only has a 10 day life, so it is likely expired now and you can't send another one.
Once this feedback hits 60 days old, it can't be revised by the buyer or by Ebay.

IMO this negative is trivial and not worth any effort.
You are fortunate that the buyer did not leave a negative based on the fact that you listed a CUTOUT as brand new,
Your listing did not contain a track listing or a scan of the back with the tracklist, IMO you did not provide all the information you should have to avoid such misunderstandings.
Use of your FB response to try to communicate with the buyer simply draws more attention to the negative. It is unlikely the buyer will ever read your response,

It did, actually:
Tracks:
Radio Edit 4.09
Radio Version 4.55
Clarkwork Remix 3.58 (feat. Noreaga)
This kind of disc is pretty common - in the old days it was called an EP.
Problem is, if the buyer doesn't click into the description but just purchases from the popup, they can't see it.

Boy I'd disagree. When a buyer leaves several of them it can be problematic.

YES she did. Thank you. I went back and edited the post.

I don't see anywhere in that listing that says it only has 3 tracks.

Maybe they should have formatted it better?

I've had two neutrals and one negative over the last six months, one neutral that was removed and the others I was told couldn't be. The negative was just outright lying on the buyers part, he never tried to contact us and we didn't know there was an issue until the negative. Both neutrals were for the same thing...the buyer (two different people) bought the wrong part and left the neutral because they couldn't use it, admitting that they made the mistake in not reading the listing or looking at the pictures we carefully post to each listing (the diagram he is talking about is in most of our new and used part listings because of the nature of the things we sell, I mean I use RED circles) and to quote from the buyer in a message about yesterday's neutral:
"I can't give a positive feedback on a product I can't use, that's deceptive and unethical. I left a fair feedback because the gaskets did arrive new and unharmed. It's strange how I do not remember that diagram in the ad on eBay with the red circles"
I just don't get how it's deceptive and unethical to leave a positive because the buyer ordered the wrong thing, I did my job, nothing wrong with my listing or shipping or the part itself, I even offered to return the item even though it's been 30 days past my return policy if the item was unused. The only thing unethical and deceptive is this buyer leaving crappy feedback because he couldn't be bothered to read my listing or look at the pictures, I mean he could have just not left feedback at all....Ebay removed the first one like this because the guy but not this..same thing, same reason. I guess it's about who gets the request when you send it. 😞

In the future if this happens again, report to eBay with the reason of 'buyer requested something not in the listing'. They requested a CD with more than 3 tracks, that's not what the listing was for. You can also report the buyer using this reason. Or at least you could last time I checked. It won't hurt your account though, even though it's frustrating.

I feel your pain brother, I had a similar experience with 2 negative feedbacks nearly back to back, I went from 100% to 96% (Hero to Zero). 😊

Seems very clear to me - if I had purchased that disc, I would have expected three tracks.
