My husband's been on ebay for 25 years , to this day Bogus bidders can post negative feedback , even after they have been reported . **bleep** , How is this Fair ?

Yep, it's not. It's messed up. All I can say is take a number or get in line.

Feedback is the opinion of the person leaving it. If it qualifies for removal eBay will remove it. If not it will age off in 12 months. If your husband gets positive feedback frequently, then it will roll into the next page in no time.

You said "bogus bidders."
Does that mean they won an item and didn't pay?
If so...contact ebay again to ask for removal.

Keep in mind, it’s business not personal.

What’s unfair is having to give our thoughts or opinions on an issue that is grossly lacking details 😉
Reported for what exactly? Can we see the negative feedbacks (I’m assuming your husband) received?

I would suggest if your husband doesn't want to deal with bogus bidders who do not pay, they should stop listing auction style and list at a fixed, buy it now price, immediate payment required checked off and NO best offers. You'll see less of the bogus bidders and more serious buyers who will pay him. Just a suggestion. Sorry for your troubles.

If, by "bogus bidders", you mean a winning bidder who didn't pay, did your husband not cancel, citing "buyer did not pay" as the reason?

You didn't provide much detail so tend to agree with soh.maryl that you are referring to the winning bidder on an auction. Not sure what you mean by "bogus" feedback but as with all feedback it tends to be very opinionated and sometimes personality driven. Some feedback can be removed but not much to go on without knowing what some of the feedback has been. Curious why you husband didn't simply post the question so we could look at some of the feedback.

This must be a posting account... no feedback and created in 2021. It would help to know what account is being talked about...

If all it took to prevent negative feedback was to "report" a buyer, then sellers would report any buyer that was unhappy.
That aside ...
You will have to come back and tell us what you mean by a "bogus buyer".
If you mean a buyer who does not pay, eBay policy says that if the buyer does not pay and the seller follows through with the unpaid item process, the buyer's feedback is removed.
eBay will automatically remove any feedback left by a buyer who didn't pay for an order when:

In ebay's user agreement, do you find anything stating ebay rules, policies, determinations being fair ?
