Just received a message from eBay saying I need to "fix" my listings with unsupported return policies. I allow returns on everything I sell and it says so in each listing. **bleep** is an unsupported return policy? And why are almost half of my listings showing an unsupported return policy when I post the SAME return policy in each listing?

I received the same message yesterday, and all my listings have return accepted, etc...
I don’t understand what is going on....

I got it, too. All my listings have a 14 day return, but only 4 are called out. I wonder if that is why they keep re- indexing. (A hyphen where the view count is supposed to be)

Because sellers are expected to ship in less than 24hrs so the buyer can sit for 2 weeks, (no way 2 weeks isn't enough sitting!) 30 days!!!!!!! MINIMUM to decide if they are done renting the item... ... ...

14 day returns are still allowed in some categories. Likely your listings that weren't called out are in those limited categories.

@rschissler wrote:I got the same message, fortunately only three listings were "unsupported." Changing from 14 to 30 day returns put me back in eBay's good graces. Wonder what would happen if I didn't change anything, though?
Here's what may happen:
"Starting in August 2018, listings that you have not updated to one of the new returns policy options, including Good ‘Til Cancelled, will automatically be updated for you."
https://pages.ebay.com/seller-center/seller-updates/2018-summer/simplified-returns.html
I wonder what they update it to. Possibly 30 day returns.
I went through my GTC listings today, and they were default updated to 30 days, buyer pays return, for my listings that had been 14 days with buyer pays return.

You'd be ghosted.
Oh, wait, that's already happening.
If your sales are good - well, good for you. Not mine.

You can use the bulk editor. Even easier - if you have business policies set up all you have to do is update your return policy and affected listings will automatically be updated.

Accepted Returns only adds to the listing price.

I just got the message that 158 of my listings had an Unsupported Return Policy or they would not relist them.
When I checked, they showed 30-day returns so I don't know why eBay is flagging them as unsupported policies.

A glitch?

Ya think?
i get the same thing when I list through Sixbit. All listings throw a warning that my return policy is unsupported. Yet I offer 30 day returns, buyer pays. The listings go through and all go live so right now I don’t worry about it.
What it tells me is sooner or later eBay will demand all sellers give free returns. They are just waiting to throw the switch. My guess is they will roll it out just in time for Christmas.

I hope not. That will raise prices across the board, and buyers may find shun listings if they feel they are paying more for a free return they may never require.

I got the same email today as well. It's very unprofessional of eBay to send out warning emails like this and not explain a single thing. There's no links to any guidance or highlights on listing editors. The eBay help section is utterly useless, and I had to come to this forum to find answers.
